  • djc0248 you seem to make a lot of assumptions. Let me get a few things corrected for you.

1: I never said I was "for" or "against" this industry, I just pointed out that if you look at the video and you work in the animal industry, it is quite clear these sheep are well looked after.

    2. Dont make the assumption I work at this place, because I dont!!

    3. I actually work in the sheep and cattle industry. My suggestion is you actually read the standards for this industry set out by the RSPCA.

  • @MrLjb006 If you believe that the sheep are "well looked after" you are supporting the treatment! As for the standards set by RSPCA they are worthless, a dog can be kept on a 6 foot lead it's entire life on it's own in a paddock as long as it has water and is fed, does that make it right? I know the regulations and most are worthless, you work in the Industry? The sheep in this video are suffering for years penned up like this it will be banned soon I'm sure, along with ALL LIVE EXPORT!

  • djc0248 I dont know why I am bothering to reply to you, but it is your lack of knowledge about this industry, is making you look like a fool . So I will educate you a little. Having 27 years of experience working with animals, anyone who works in an animal industry knows that this industry has to follow strict ANIMAL AND WELFARE POLICIES set out by the government. So before you start making assumptions about me please go and look at yourself in the mirror and see who the real tool is.

  • @MrLjb006 You might fool the odd cocky but you won't fool too many here on you tube, People are well aware of the live export situation thanks to 4Corners and Animals Australia who work to stop cruel practices in the Animal Industries. You claim to work in the "Animal Industry" fine, which one? You stated in earlier post that you believe the sheep are "well looked after" I disagree and so does Animals Australia, if you believe it's OK to pen sheep for years you are in a minority!

  • @MrLjb006 I hope you don't work at the " Wool Factory" in Horsham Victoria where there are 2000 sheep penned up for 5 years? You claim "strict animal welfare policies, I say CRAP! There are still battery caged Hens, Battery Pigs, Battery sheep, and even Battery dairy cows! I suppose you support these too? have the guts to admit it? I live in rural Vic where sheep roam free and dairy cows walk themselves to the dairy to be milked, when I look in the mirror I see someone who cares about animals!

  • Horrified.

  • Having looked at this video its quite clear these sheep are well looked after and the animal behaviour is normal for sheep behaviour. Also I can say they would follow every rule/ requirement set out by the RSPCA.

  • @MrLjb006 Are you a complete tool? This is no way to treat an animal, confined like they are for years you claim they are "well looked after"? Well I would love to put you in a pen for years, your hair would be washed, your teeth cleaned, your nails clipped, but god help your mind you bloody idiot!

  • My family is in the wool industry n shedding sheep like this is kinda like stabling horses. They belong out in the paddock

  • Please turn your back to the entire bloody wool industry, because it is all about the money and not about the welbeing of the animals! Boycot Tasmanian, Merino and ALL wool and use modern fabrics that is non-violent and warm also.

Thanks for sharing this video with us and I added to my "favorites" for education purposes

  • Not all farmers are the same. It's unfair not to cite when and where this video was shot.

  • Join the group "Be Kind to Sheep" on my channel page! Compassion for all beings!

  • The Australian wool market continues to buck the trend of export commodities dipping as the dollar rises.

The Aussie dollar reached its highest value since 2008, when it passed 97 US cents last week.

But Michael De Kleuver, Victorian wool manager for Rodwells brokers, says as the currency has risen, the wool market has followed.

He says last week was a very positive week on the wool market, with rises of about 15 cents across the board.

  • Wednesdays opening Newcastle sale was well supported by

Italian buyers, who helped push fine and superfine micron

wools up beyond 100 cents higher. Spinners and best style

wools were well sought after and attracted most gains. Other

fine wools were also firmer, lifting up to 50 cents.

  • The reception to Australian Wool Innovation’s (AWI) new ‘Merino Retract’ knitwear technology, which was launched at last month’s SpinExpo trade show in New York, has been very positive.

Garments made from ‘Merino Retract’ yarns have the attractive look and feel

AWI general manager of product development J. Jackson says there has been a lot of interest in the ‘Merino Retract’ technology, which is part of AWI’s Merino Casual autumn/winter 2011/12 collection.

  • Superfine wool of best topmaking/average spinner style has seen solid gains this week with many lots 50 cents and more

above previous quotes. The reappearance of Italian based interests has sparked this sector of the market with wool

displaying the traditional spinners’ style becoming highly sought after

  • PETA hasnt slowed down its hypocritical killing machine one bit, but it keeps browbeating the rest of society with a phony animal rights message, PETA is more concerned about funding its advertising and media antics than finding suitable homes for needy cats and dogs.

Despite its $33 million annual budget, PETA does not operate an adoption shelter. PETA employees make no discernible effort to find homes for the thousands of animals they kill every year.

  • waratahNSW is a sheep farmer that believes in mulesing his sheep without painkillers.... hates PETA and any animal welfare organization. He will say anything to get people on board with his way of thinking.

Typical shit for brains, LYING, Vegan bigot.

Just like Peta they are habitual lairs,

Also typical of the sick minded ways of people who believe the video "EARTHLINGS"

You are a sick pitiful excuse for a human

  • @waratah You are showing your "TRUE COLORS" when U condemn the most powerful documentary ever made -- EARTHLINGS is a feature length documentary about humanity's absolute dependence on animals (for pets, food, clothing, entertainment, and scientific research) but also illustrates our complete disrespect for these so-called "non-human providers.

You sir, top the list in inhumane not only toward animals, but humans 2.

Everyone should watch Earthlings - link on my main page under "About Me".

  • @DianeDi

Oo No Diane Di, it is you that is showing you true colors now.

As far as I can remember we had an understanding and respect of each others views.

So explain why you want to attack me with

    YOUR LIES.

You are TYPICAL of the vegan fuck wits sitting behind your BLOCKED channel. SO we can add

GUTLESS to the list, of bigoted, brain washed, ARA scum.

As far as Earthlings is concerned, It just tells me every time I see it listed as a favorite, I know the sort of idiot that person must be

  • There are many small sheep farmers in the US that coat, but still let their flocks out to graze. They are a normal flock in every other way. The sheep are not bothered by the coats in the least. Any wool that is not covered by the coats (head, leg, belly, and neck wool) has too short a staple length to be used anyway and is discarded during shearing. The penning of these sheep is totally overkill, cruel, and cost prohibitive.

  • This practice is cruel and uneccessary. As an animal scientist, I can say that these pens go completely against a sheep's natural state. They are herd animals and obviously experience anxiety when seperated.

  • I holey agree with you, That this is not a natural way to keep sheep.

But dont be mislead there are relativity few sheep kept in sheds, and as far as I know this the only one is the only one that has individual pens.

Animals Australia are just like Peta , they mislead you and cloud the truth with lies.

  • derrrr tastychops this is not about meat so get over your obsession with meat eating, it is about wool production, all your good for is attacking people who do not eat meat and your not even good at that actually, you keep making a total idiot out of yourself and showing yourself up for the ignorant fool you are, you say none of this goes on, hey moron take a drive to horsham and look through the windows of the sheds these sheep are in and see for yourself, damn fool your a f****** d*** head.

  • TRUTH: There is only one such operation in Australia that does this with sheep in little pens. All self-respecting sheep farmers hate it as well, so please dont condemn the rest of us because of what these fools do.

  • Tastychops your an uneducated idiot, you haven't seen many places that confine sheep hey, have you looked??? course you haven't as you couldn't give a damn and there are many of these places in Australia but they are hidden, maybe go into the RSPCA's website and have a look at what they have to say, every comment you make tastychops makes you appear more and more like the idiot you are, I have seen the Horsham Wool factories setup and i was horrified have you seen it tastychops???doubt it.

  • Havnt seen to many sheep penned up like this, most live a lovely life, enjoying plenty of food and water.

Looks like more anti meat eating rubbish to me

  • hey small brain prisoners, stop it stop animal abuse hey stink gorillas stop it stop animal massacre hey aborin killers show us the dugon massacre video show us the dingo massacre video show us the shark massacre video show us the animal shooting video
  • This video is a load of shit!

  • TRUTH: There is only one such operation in Australia that does this with sheep in little pens. All self-respecting sheep farmers hate it as well, so please dont condemn the rest of us because of what these fools do.

  • I know a lot of friends who own farms & I've never seen them lock up sheep like this it's just so cruel, You can still get a really good cut of wool when the sheep graze in the paddock like all sheep should.

  • This is a disgrace, no animal should be kept in a box without the opportunity to display it's natural behaviour..chewing on wood and pacing to and fro is not natural behaviour..it is stereotypical, which is produced by boredom and frustration..

  • wool

  • Do you think you could go vegetarian? =)

  • Yeah, they're really lucky being locked in tiny pens 24 hours a day for years on end... I really hope you're taking the piss Katrina!

  • Well coming from the sheep industry myself...my father was a shearer. This is a load of S**T. Very few sheep spend their life like this. Get in the car, on a bus, train and go for a long drive in the country...you are a d**k.

  • i think these sheep look well fed and in very clean pens..and lucky they have wood to chew to keep there teeth in good order...

  • oops sorry ryan this page must be logged in to you...comments from me...katrina
