United really needs to update their 744's, as well as the 763's. overhead Tv's are no longer acceptable, even for domestic flights, never the less a 12 hour from HKG.

In flight how loud was the cabin? and could you compare it to another plane noise wise? is it closer to a MD88 737 or 757?

@eggeorge But i did take one :)! It will be another video. This vid is already too long. I took one as i was boarding shows the Business cabin, the stairs and coach. The IFE LOL! It's is crying shame that United has such piss poor IFE in coach on its 747s. The culture difference between them and CO shows on the 747s. UA redid the First and Business but completely ignored coach. Where when CO redid the plane they added AVOD for everyone.

@020808 Awesome! Please post both soon!!!! United will not be adding PTV's to the 747 fleet any time soon as they have announced they will be offering little mini TV's that will be handed out in flight loaded with movies.....at least they are trying....

As of the content you had, what did you watch? Was there a plug in the seat? Was there music? Could you easily see the television screens? What is the best coach seat on-board the UA 747? Thanks bud

@eggeorge I slept most of the flight, but they were showing Our Idiot Brother, A Better Life, Rise of The Planet of the Apes, Life in Day" There are no plugs, but there is music. I saw the TV really good from my seat 20A, which is close to the front. The further away from the front, the harder is will be to see the screen.

@gundam326 Thanks for the comment. I fly a lot but I pretty much fly exclusively with Continental. Since they don't fly 747s, I never was able to fly on one.
