I love this song so much, and today's performance was actually better than letterman's. but it's still a hard song to perform, i guess. edge's timing with larry and bono are still a little off. it's refreshing to see that it's not perfect yet, because you get the feeling the band is still trying out different things to get their rhythms. what i would give to hear them perform this live...!

I agree! They say they take awhile to learn how to play the new songs! I missed Larry's tomtoms on the this one, he's using his small kit for some reason. great show!

I don't know, sounds pretty good to me! There's an interview somewhere where Larry talks about having to adjust to Edge's delay fx. Maybe that's what you're picking up on.

But like you said, I'm sure they're still experimenting and finding their way with the new songs. Look at the nuances of live performances of songs like Beautiful Day, Stuck In A Moment, Streets, With Or Without You, or even Pride and notice the things that have changed or been added over the years.
