Everything about this scene is amazing. The writing is superb. Snake's voice is perfect. Even the setting is genius; it reflects Snake very well. The battlefield is worn out, old, and almost destroyed. And yet, it is under control, and the fighting continues (much like Snake). Not to mention the overwhelming sense of futility
