  • love u elvis!!<3 <3<3<3<3

  • @cjrebelofficial I so agree. Elvis could have sung the blues, in those days. 'My Baby Left Me' is an up-tempo one again but very bluesy. He was also an incredible Gospel singer. p.s. does anyone know any other WHITE BLUES singers worth listening to? tnx

  • GREAT cover by Elvis

  • @pienskybynby ** I wouldnt go THAT far.

  • Excellent! Great 50s' clips too! Thanks for posting!

  • Johnnie Lee Wills, not Billy Jack, had the huge hit of "Milkcow Blues" in the mid-1940's (Billy Jack hadn't made any records under his own name at that time, yet). Bob DID record it, but his version was entitled "Brain Cloudy Blues". Confused the heck out of me the first time I heard that record as a teenager. I think of all of Elvis' recordings, this one and "Blue Moon of Kentucky" were his most innovative.

  • Best Elvis Song

    Best Version

    Ever

  • Milkcow Blues Boogie - Presley, Elvis [Tupelo, Mississippi] - 1954 - "Hold it fellows, that don't move, let's get real real gone for a change." - The King Of Rock 'N' Roll: The Complete 50's Masters [RCA Disc 1]-1992.

NOTE: This is a 5 CD Compilation of his '50's stuff, which means if you get the 60's, 70's Box sets you'll have 15 CD's.

ALSO get this CD to complete your collection with 6 more 5 star songs: Elv1s 30 #1 Hits (RCA)-2002.

  • Eddie Cochran´s version is better than this one.

  • omg i love this man to death! <333333

  • Glad you enjoyed this.

  • @CookiesDen2 Glad you put this up! thank you!!!

  • Nice picture, video and sound placement CookiesDen2. That's Judy Spreckels @ 1:36, the sister Elvis never had.

  • The guitar in this song rules. Rockabilly FTW.

  • Amazing! - Elvis revealing his early rockabilly singing style...!

  • Thanks for watching and for your comment. Glad you enjoyed this.

  • "Dont that old moon look lonesome....when yo' bayyayayayaybe 's not around"

    Elvis killed it.

  • @anaihilator Thanks for drawing attention to one of the terrific lines of this song as interpreted by Elvis. When he zigzags out that word "baby" it's almost like he's baying at that old lonesome moon. How'd he come up with that? The falsetto he hits later is a direct influence from Kokomo Arnold's version. Of course, Scotty Moore is giving him great support throughout.

  • The Sun recordings re-opened my eyes to how amazing Elvis really was.

  • Thank you for watching and for your comment. I agree.

  • Oh, let's milk it!!! I dig his version, it's a favorite song of mine.

  • Glad you enjoyed this.

  • Thank you so much. This is the best version i have ever heard of this song. I loved 50s era Elvis. He changed so much after the Army. These Sun songs move me. :-)

  • Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate it and am happy you enjoyed this post.

  • @bella6626 The other really good version is by Eddie Cochran. He bases his performance on Elvis, but his guitar work is amazing.

  • hold it fellas...that don't Move Me. classic.
