  • "Yeah, hunt me down with a 451-A."

I'm all for bashing bureaucracy, but he owned him there.

  • Sad part is if scenario like that happened in real life. There would be some pencil neck like that making people jump trough red tape.

  • @emarine I find it hard to believe in real life, a solderer on the front lines in that kind of disaster would be able to make a phone call like that. His commander should have cut the phone lines, the Russians could uses that phone call to find out where they are and where they are going.

In a real life disaster more often then not if your in the middle of it your also in the dark about whats going on outside of your line of sight.

  • @Monorprise could have connected to a satalite transmitter

  • @Gam3rzulu Yea and if he did that she should have been court-marshaled for giving away their position.

The Russians can track transmissions and the last thing you want them to know is where you are, what your condition is and where your going.

  • @Monorprise yeah well either way, bases need to have communication resources, and military regulations, war or not, sometimes you have to defend your family, and if that means disobeying orders, so be it, though it is a bit corny and unrealistic to do that through a telecommunications box, but it is still pheasable

  • Wow, Mike is defending the stupid guys country, and the guy can't even send money to his ex wife.

  • shit man that soldier might have a gun and 10 ten weeks of training, But he's scared enough of his ex wife to threaten a man at the pentagon to get his money in his ex wifes pocket. I got some news for you Mr. bureaucrat, even if he doesn't hunt you down his ex will and believe me thats way scarier then a soviet invasion

  • America loves its soldiers even in a war.

  • Oh bitch got pwned by a guy in a suit!!!

  • A declaration from the court roflmao

  • formal bastard

  • Reminds me of the welfare system in Norway.

    NAV for the win.

  • "Are you actually in the regular army?"

lol, looks like somebody hasn't seen enough WWII movies.

  • hunt me down.. with a 451-A !

  • lol

  • Hunt me down.... with a 451K and i need it in triplicate OWNED

  • even in wartime accounts are assholes.

  • Great game, but one problem I had was where are the CUCV's!!?? Sheesh had my RATT rig on the back of one of those before we got the hummers =D

  • Asshole!

  • are company clark got his head blown two hours ago hahaha!!1

  • lol!

  • When the accountant said "...that doesn't change anything...We have rules in this country for a reason" in response to the 'invasion' argument, he makes points out a very important concept that extends beyond just simple bueracracy--That we simply can't bend the laws of the land just because we're at war. If we can skimp on simple rules/procedures simply because we're at war, we set a bad precedent and risk skimping on bigger things, like civil rights, free speech, etc. at wartime.

  • Yeah, the problem is, the big things are always the ones that go first, and the little ones stay around forever.

  • Comment removed

  • That stuff you say about the military is true.

However, you are conflating a respect for civil liberties and principles with an unduly authoritarian, slavish adherence to rules and regulations.

  • Good point, but there is a big difference between getting money to a desperate soldier's spouse and taking away your civil liberties.

Being a stickler on rules and bureaucracy doesn't necessarily make you a great civil rights advocate. Rather, the reverse often seems true.

  • And this is why we should all hate burocrats

  • @BlackOps05 Or at least learn how to spell that word.

  • lol

  • Two things.

    1. I wonder what that guy needed the money for.

    2. I hope that after the game, that soldier did kill that guy.

  • probley needed it for his wife to pay child support and all that stuff. hes got to feed this famliey. even if it is his x :/

  • He probably needed the money to buy batteries for his CD player lol.

  • yeh thats possible xD

  • war sucks.

  • Agreed War Sucks but an evil requirment

  • We're on rather much the same page, mate.

But i'd qualify "requirement". War is only necessary as long as there are dumbasses out there waging wars of aggression. Pity.

  • @teencomment Likely Answers:

    1) He wanted the money sent to his ex wife for her to use to flee the US.

    2) I think he was nuked

  • @teencomment

his wife had to leave her home real soon caus the commies were commin.

so he wanted her to have some money to survive.

  • @teencomment I'm guessing alimony XD

  • im gonna hunt you down

Yeah hunt me down with a 451-A

  • stealth kill with a 451-A...

  • Hehe, I loved this cutscene:D.

  • "Hunt me down with a 451K, and I need it in triplicate" XD

  • Yeah he'll hunt him down with a 4 alright. A M4 carbine.

  • Nah, they were using the M16A4 :P

  • Eh Close enough.

  • No, they were using the M16A2, or at least they should have been. This is like, 1989.

  • Hm i don't think the M16A4 was introduced back then... it was only 1989.

It's a bit like saying that the US military was using M16A2s in Vietnam. =S

  • Well, still the same ammo :p

  • True, true. The M16's a pretty damn good rifle, no matter which variant.

  • Naaa the AK47 is bether :D

  • ooh yeah that too =D

  • I was trying to think if they had A2s back then. Seems like they were still kind of new and replacing A1s when I got in back in 91.

  • @malmapus

The game is set in 1989, so there going to be mainly the A1s

  • they were using M16A1 in vietnam :)

  • @joaofga123

No, they were using M16s in vietnam, M16A1 has a few internal upgrades

  • @leopard2a6mcan

You're wrong my friend,at that time the M16A2 was already in service about almost 10 years xD

  • @joaofga123

    M16A2s didn't serve in vietnam

  • @leopard2a6mcan

Yes I know, but I was answering your question about the M16A2 in 1989,at that time they were already in service for about 10 years, and M16A1 saw action in vietnam too.

  • @joaofga123 Oh, wasn't paying attention lol

I always thought that the A2s came into service around the 90s.

I knew the A1s served in vietnam, I forgot to mention that they did.

  • WRONG!!! They were using M16A1!!!

  • @Nikitaro

The M16A4 ddn't exist back then.

  • @leopard2a6mcan Waking up an old conversation, are we?

    I admit that I was wrong. :)

  • "look, our company clerk got his head blown off 2 hours ago"
