I got a PB yesterday and I dont have my own wifi (i pick up neighbors in my apartment with a wifi antenna to my laptop) and i use ad hoc when im using my ipod to work with wifi but the PB doesnt work with ad hoc so if i root it is there a way to allow it to recognize an ad hoc network and share an internet connection?

@andrewt116 After you've done it you can restore your blackberry to it's original factory settings, so even if it did, you can undo it. :P

the only reason people get apple products is because they can jailbreak it. Now RIM is realizing this. I bet RIM let this come out so they get more people interested.

Do you think its worth doing this now or waiting until the official 2.0 update? Im just curious as I am enjoying my playbook now, but I wouldnt mind getting some android app action.

@downphoenix I've been running 2.0 for a couple weeks now and I haven't encountered any bugs or anything yet. Pretty stable for me.

thanks for yours efforts to teach us all this .but i am stuck with winscp and puttygen . as you said with putty i tried to convert rsa to .ppk file but still with winscp i cant log in.. username root,password i dont know. if u can plz get into the details of logging into playbook tht be really helpfull thanks a millon
