That's not true. People are committing suicide because they are unhappy for a myriad of reasons. Life isn't always pretty or even good there is pain and death, sometimes confusion. I don't understand how we allow preachers to say anything and just simply amen them and not challenge their statements. Everything stated in the name of God isn't always appropriate, even if it comes from the Bible.

The very people who Jesus called to be his disciples were the very people the "church" said he shouldn't be hanging with. They were the same people that were talked about and ostricized. If you feel he is in the company of people he shouldn't be..why not pray about it. The Bible does say that he holds us (ministers) to a higher call therefore if he is in the wrong trust and believe he will be dealt with by God. The body of Christ should just pray for him and keep him lifted before God.
Testing a spirit is quite different than tearing down a spirit prior to having the spirit fail.
First, we have ALL sinned and will continue to do so. God says that if he can forgive then we can forgive 7x70 times. While we judge a person and their sins, they may have repented and come closer to heaven than we ourselves who do not recognize our own sins, such as idle talk.

Your concern is with who he hangs with, but you dont know if Carn has heard the things that you have heard about those preachers, and you do not know his affiliation with those preachers when he is with them. matuber, Always interpret a scripture beginning with Jesus, the verses surrounding it, the chapter it's in, the Book of the Bible it's in and how it relates to the whole Bible. The Holy Spirit teaches, not man. 2 Corinthians 10:5 helps you yield to the Holy Spirit's teaching. matuber, I heard about those things after he died. However, He is not a preacher or prophet. I remembered these songs from my youth, and I liked them. Concerning Carn, did you read clearly my posts? I was in a COGIC Church and I learned very little about the Bible. They read one or two scriptures for a few minutes and preach for a hour and more. Very often they put the scriptures into a pretext into what they are going to say next. Often times the scriptures are taken out of context.
Now while I do understand and actually agree with some of your remarks as they relate to some people in the COGIC i refuse to blanket anyone. You can't make general statements to represent an entire group of people. Perhaps it was just your church or the churches affiliated with yours. The COGIC isn't all bad. But because it was entrusted to man and men do fall we have to understand that some things will happen. Not covering for them but at the same time understanding that they are human.
This was just an experience that you had in one church. I could sit here and criticize the Baptist church that I attended with my father and how they were always getting a new preacher each year, but that is not representatvie of the Baptist church.
I was raised in a COGIC church where by the time I was ten years old I could name the 66 books of the bible and if u named one book, I could tell u what book came before and after it. Our church had a Bible College AND bible study.

That's not true. People are committing suicide because they are unhappy for a myriad of reasons. Life isn't always pretty or even good there is pain and death, sometimes confusion. I don't understand how we allow preachers to say anything and just simply amen them and not challenge their statements. We are here to warn people about guys like Carn. A preacher is to teach the people the Bible according to the doctrine of Jesus Christ as led by the Holy Spirit. A prophet proclaims the Word of God after the Prophets in the Bible. Jesus said that it is finished. What is Carn delivering?

The godly way to handle this would be to point out what this man may have said that you disagree with and provide scripture to support what you believe to be true.
If he hangs with people who are corrupt, God might have him there to serve a purpose. You don't know, but you want to create speculation about this man when you have said presented nothing alarming about this young man.
Why not find the videos of the preachers that he hangs around and challenge them?

matuber, You are missing the point. The issue is discernment. The Bible tells us to test all spirits to see if they are of God. Who Carn hangs around with is secondary to the doctrine of Jesus Christ being taught. Who he hangs with will affect him, and very few of those guys are without spot. The very people who Jesus called to be his disciples were the very people the "church" said he shouldn't be hanging with. They were the same people that were talked about and ostricized. If you feel he is in the company of people he shouldn't be..why not pray about it. The Bible does say that he holds us (ministers) to a higher call therefore if he is in the wrong trust and believe he will be dealt with by God. The body of Christ should just pray for him and keep him lifted before God.

Testing a spirit is quite different than tearing down a spirit prior to having the spirit fail.
First, we have ALL sinned and will continue to do so. God says that if he can forgive then we can forgive 7x70 times. While we judge a person and their sins, they may have repented and come closer to heaven than we ourselves who do not recognize our own sins, such as idle talk.
Do you not recall who Peter and Paul wr when Jesus was hanging out w/ them? He hung out w/ murderers.

I have read every word that you have said. Your concern is with who he hangs with, but you dont know if Carn has heard the things that you have heard about those preachers, and you do not know his affiliation with those preachers when he is with them. So in my opinion, you are not saying anything that should alarm anyone.

matuber, Always interpret a scripture beginning with Jesus, the verses surrounding it, the chapter it's in, the Book of the Bible it's in and how it relates to the whole Bible. The Holy Spirit teaches, not man. 2 Corinthians 10:5 helps you yield to the Holy Spirit's teaching. I put aside all that mess I herd in youth and in that COGIC Church, and the Holy Spirit led me out of it to a teaching Church where the pastor doesn't bring the attention upon himself or preach like he's crazy.

Carn comes with a simple message fill with puff-up words that get silly and simple women and men to scream, act out and run around the Church. That is not scriptural. The Holy Spirit doesn't interrupt Himself or lets Himself look like a fool to non believers. The Holy Spirit got me out of that mess you seem to like. Discernment of spirits and interpreting scripture in correct context are not the norm in these services.

matuber, I heard about those things after he died. However, He is not a preacher or prophet. I remembered these songs from my youth, and I liked them. Concerning Carn, did you read clearly my posts? I was in a COGIC Church and I learned very little about the Bible. They read one or two scriptures for a few minutes and preach for a hour and more. Very often they put the scriptures into a pretext into what they are going to say next. Often times the scriptures are taken out of context.

Now while I do understand and actually agree with some of your remarks as they relate to some people in the COGIC i refuse to blanket anyone. You can't make general statements to represent an entire group of people. Perhaps it was just your church or the churches affiliated with yours. The COGIC isn't all bad. But because it was entrusted to man and men do fall we have to understand that some things will happen. Not covering for them but at the same time understanding that they are human.

This was just an experience that you had in one church. I could sit here and criticize the Baptist church that I attended with my father and how they were always getting a new preacher each year, but that is not representatvie of the Baptist church.
I was raised in a COGIC church where by the time I was ten years old I could name the 66 books of the bible and if u named one book, I could tell u what book came before and after it. Our church had a Bible College AND bible study.

Nothing wrong with discussion my brother and the word clearly states that "Judgement begins in the house of the Lord" 1 Peter 4:17. Too many on milk and not solid food Hebrews 5;11-14.. Discussing the word is how we learn and grow.. Excepting everything that is proclaimed as Christianity without testing it against the scripture is spiritually naive.. The Bereans tested Paul's teachings and we should test all teachings even the ones by our favourite preachers...
