  • Sadie, I see your belly button!

  • honestly the breathing is the hardest part about yoga.

  • holy crap youre 39? you look like youre in your mid 20's! do you do any other form of exercise other than yoga?

  • Amazing...

  • What i like about Sadie's videos is that she takes time to explain everything clearly. I can understand the reason behind certain movements and what they do for you.

  • i dont get it. Do you inhale through the nose or mouth? and then where do you exhale from? Cause you said mouth first and then nose.

  • You are my Guru from 3,000 miles away. I strive to be the teacher that you are*

    Namaste,

    Gina Nardone~

  • oh you are really beatifull i cannot beieve how pretty you are

  • There is a decent Yoga channel on yt, and even with a fine young lady such as yourself? Why wasn't I informed of this? :)

Very nice explanation, I just subscribed.

  • Thanks Sadie! I get a little bit light-headed doing it but nothing major or scary and it definitely gave me more energy than my coffee did this morning. As someone who has dealt with anxiety (and panic attacks) for over a decade I like that it not only energizes but also relaxes.

  • Since you've gotten me high, I wondered if I could return the favor.... Just kidding....

  • Harmony.

  • its called kapalbathi..;p

  • whoaaaa better than a cup of coffee??? NICEEE!!!

  • You're hot.

  • Is this called firebreathing?

  • @Contributionism

It seems like a gentler, slower paced version of Breath of Fire (Agni-Prasana)

  • Hi Sadie, I love this breath exercise, but it makes me really dizzy, is that normal? I've only ever done it twice and I can feel myself resisting because I fear the dizziness. I've done 3 cycles just now and the dizziness disappears straight after, and I feel great now, and yet I feel like I'm not doing it right... hmm... your advise is appreciated. XXa.

  • @theannanas79 I too become short of breath and dizzy.

  • Beautiful x

  • This pranayama makes me feel hot is it supposed to?

  • It will warm the core really fast, yes!

  • In other words, this pranayama is called "kapalabhati".

  • Yes...but that's not as fun a title, is it?

    :)

  • These type of educative videos make YouTube so great for me, thanks for sharing; it is helping in spreading through sharing without trying to gain money yourself. Its our future.

  • You're so welcome! I just uploaded more...enjoy!

  • this exercise dosent detox fun indeed!to easy:)it simple turns your mind mood little better:)thats all:)western yogis are fun indeed!

  • Actually your lymphatic system only works properly at detoxing while doing deep breathing or when moving/exercising; her example does in fact support detoxification.

I'd advise you to delve into a subject before assuming it is wrong or right. Like Buddha once said to his disciples to not believe him blindly, but to instead practice themselves and experience themselves what is true and what is not. Best advise to take with you.

  • once more that exercises dosent detox your innerorgans it is meant only for stimulating mind mood.for detoxing organs is entirely another bretathing which is by the way very difficult to do in suited manner and time. to detoxorgans one needs at least1-2 hours very hard tarining each day and of course right breathing exercise.but that one is meant only for mind stimulation and can be dane not only that way but also bretahing out from closed mouth:)amen)

  • Well said...

Oxygen detoxes us, and this muscular movement uses the abdominal muscles as a pump to bring fresh blood and lymph into the abdominal and pelvic cavities, not to mention it helps the diaphragm move oxygen through the whole body more optimally.

So yes, it works, and it works instantly. Anatomy says so!

  • great breathing technics... thanks for sharing it... :)

  • do i have to practice this with empty stomac?

  • Nope...but a really full stomach isn't the best.

    xoSadie

  • i love u.

  • Ecellent! A new favorite.

  • Thanks, you rock for saying so;)

  • thanks -what if my nose is always plugged ??????

  • The yogis would say that can be because of an improper diet--something you're slightly allergic to, and/or because you're not breathing properly. Do 20 minutes or more of a yoga workout [my Weight Loss 30 minute practice in 4 parts would be awesome, and then do this breath. Your nose, unless there's something medically blocking it, should clear. Watch your diet too...sometimes too much wheat or dairy can cause this.

  • It should be called as SEXED BREATH....!

  • Well, it does approximate it. But I'm not really feeling sexy here, y'all. Just concentrating on the breath;)
