@orangepeelification Thanks for the nice comments.Yes made out of miss measured cuboard doors and some old plastic advertising boards. The rest pulled out of some friends houses they were doing up the lights were off a friend that he was doing up an office and the light were being thrown out so the whole duck house made out of scrap never cost me a penny :)
It always makes me smile to see that there are others out there who care for animals and view them as more than just "objects put on earth by god for our consumption and amusement."
And yes i agree consumtion is the word but a duck they are so much fun to have as a pet i think. I just love bringing new life into this hard world and caring for them until they want to move on by themselves. :)
@sesshomaru1414 Thank you. I Disinfect there run every week then now and again i just paint the back wall with some old emulsion i have lying around. I have now some plastic sheets ill cut em up paint the wall white the fit to the wall then it will only need a wipe down :)
Well done matey you have a couple of gorgeous ducks there, your very commited just like me , can tel you live them big time, well done dude, very few of us good people out there.
I am off to bed now, am a night owl, up at 6am!! for work, I love my vid of my beloved Monty my first duck preening himself in my dog's water bowl, he is my baby (I bought his egg from a farm shop fridge in Dorking 6 years ago, and floated it in a tray in my tropical fish tank, turning 3 times a day) I should upload it to You tube. I get peed off at the nasty comments that go on these pages, some weirdos out there with nothing better to do
@alexwb I agree you put up a vid for all to share and all they do is sit on there backsides and put in dumb comments. Never at anytime in there tiny little world of nothing have they done something like us to upload/share so they sit there and spew out rubbish. so far i havnt had any but my time will be here soon. Im a night owl myself and ill be off very soon sleep well and thanks for the nice comments :)
@milzeh In a word no cats like to use ducks as pray if the ducks are young you will need to keep a close eye on them or i recon the cat will not need feeding for a few days. :)
shame about Quacker must have had a bad heart... strange to die like that same happens with people from time to time i think ile get some eggs to hatch after cristmas my mum wanted some ducks and they look great my gareden is huge ile just have to fence the veg patch i think
I have two pet ducks called Duck duck and Spot luck.
Duck duck my brother rescued of the motorway as a tiny baby, it was to late for the rest of his family :-(
He now lives a charmed life with his little girl friend Spot luck.
I couldn't imagine being without them they are wonderful.
I have only put one vid on youtube of them and the battery ran out. Have a look at Duckduck's christmas quacker. There is a link at the bottom to a the local newspaper. I hope you like it.
Mum & Dad cost me £25 each then Em was free as i incubated him and hand reared him to adulthood plus about 60 to 80 more ducks raised from the mum and dad that i have sold on. :)
@Naiuhz That is Honey and she is a Lop Eared Rabbit my friend had a female {her mum} and she mated her with another lop eared rabbit so we could have the pick of the litter. She,s my daughters rabbit but we both look after her and my ducks if im late home from work. I made a new run last week ware those lawn mowers were and at 11pm at night i was cutting wood with a chop saw she was sound asleep never even opened an eye she is so used to that sort of stuff :)
Well their you have its in the size Jack is larger than Em Jack dont mind being held waras Em wants to sit on my shoulder and be held.Other than that im as lost as you are :)
love your duck videos I have a real soft spot for ducks, I already have lots of there pets, but actually I am moving to live right next to wild ducks on a country park area. I would like to fed them regularly and bond with them a) whats best and most affordable to feed them and b) would a wild duck (but one that's used to the public) bond with me if I fed it often?
Most people feed them bread but its not what they realy eat if you took some dried meal worms they would love them {but not cheap} or some layer pellets or chicken feed {thats is cheap} and better for them.
To get a wild duck to bond with you is like trying to bond with a starling/crow or any wild bird they will not bond to well to humans im afraid
The only way you can bond with a duck is to own one from a baby then the fun will start. :)

it is fun to watch, but sad. I just hope he gets used to the diaper so he can stay inside and play often. This is my first duck and I would have never thought I could get this much fun out of a duck... ducks are very hard to take care of from babies if you ask me, but worth every minute. Take care, I have subscribed to your channel.
Thanks for the nice comments yes they like me i suppose it was feeding time so they are more interested in me then but none the less they do follow me round the pool even after feeding :)
@baldfatgit1 Awww bless =( Thank you for the information...I have always wanted a duck! especially after seeing fly away home! Ducks seem so intelligent also
Just watched this video for some inspiration with my own (well boyfriend's!) call ducks. We are struggling to get them as tame as yours seem to be, they arent overly keen on being picked up by just by watching your video I have a few possible solutions. We may even take them for a walk as they will follow us. I must say, you seem to really love all your animals, which is lovely to see.
Whats also equally as nice is the bristolian accent!? (Im guessing) being from Sadley broke myself!
@KeLzLeEWaLsH Hi yes im from !Gert! Yate just up the road from so you have ducks as well then ?. I do love them i think they are magic and so much fun. The sad thing is Quacker suddenly dropped dead in front of my eyes on Tuesday evening and Jack is calling for her all day now its so sad to watch. the other problem is ive lost my best egg layer so no more babies until at least October until Abbey matures {i bought her in for Em} pop up for a coffee if you like :) ill show you around.
@baldfatgit1 I even pulled my mum aside and made her watch BEFORE I even heard the accent!! We have 2 calls, which are 14weeks old. Dory (female) and Trigger (male) or so we think! Their feathers are constantly changing so we have no idea at the mo! Thats so sad. Ours havent had any problems and they are gettin cockier by the day. I may have to upload my own videos on here, after inspiration from you guys! Though Im sure they arent as good! :)
Yes please upload vid mine are not that good but fun to do. There all in bed now but no doubt ill get a visit from Em before the night is out :).As i mentioned i have a new Drake {female } here now i picked it up from backwell 2 Sundays ago its just over 2 months old she is lovely and likes to be picked up a credit to the breeders so im hoping she will take over and of the year.
I soooooo envy your life with pets...I have a Parrotlet named Buzz but at times I wish I just had more animals! It's a long term dream to have a space big enough to have a bunch of animals....awesome!
@scootrgrl Y thank you for the nice comment i must say its a labor of love the next but one vid i will introduce you to Mr Bigwee this is are mad budgie :)
All you need now is a parrotlet, a cockatiel, and a gecho lizard and we'd be identical. Totally agree about running around in the garden. I spend as much time as possible with them. I suppose you've seen my wife (boombella) and her Bun vs. Ducks video. Also, we have similar hair lines as well. One last thing, both my wife and I are jealous you have all white ducks. We love each of ours, but wish we had all white. They are the cutest. Like toys.
@bignboo hahaha classic mate. The white ducks was just a lucky dip i was next on the list and turned out they were a breeding pair. One of the next vids will be staring my budgie he is a complete nutter and is not scared of anything.
Wonderful beds! Very safe and secure. We also had a recent Daffy/Daphne situation that also worked out as Daffy. I love how tame they are with you. Call ducks are the best. I also only noticed near the end that you have a mini lop just like ours. Great coincidences!
@bignboo Thanks for the nice comments seems that we have the same pets around the home :) good that and yes the mini lop she,s so cute that's my daughter pet loves winding up the ducks in the garden beats reading a paper just watch them running round the garden.
@zams1006 Sounds like your ducks are coming along just fine keep it up and the rewards are just cool trust me and fun while you are getting them used to you is second to none. I am waiting for mum {quacker} to start laying again as she has nearly finished her spring molt as i have a few orders for call ducks should be fun.
awesome enclosure for them!

Wonderful beds! Very safe and secure. We also had a recent Daffy/Daphne situation that also worked out as Daffy. I love how tame they are with you. Call ducks are the best. I also only noticed near the end that you have a mini lop just like ours. Great coincidences!
