  • Hi, can I make it with stevia leaf powder I bough from a health food shop? thanks

  • @Teoroy it would likely just turn into pulp / paste. The powder is pretty fine so I doubt you would be able to separate solids from liquids.

  • Blender + Stevia + Water = the cure for world hunger and peace for mankind = ending malnutrition = Dan Quinn making millions of dollars = giving away the cure for virtually dog shit = winning the Nobel Prize = Playing the violin on millions of wet and willing 20 year olds = pussy for years PEACE

  • Truvia sent me here.

  • HIya, can I use powdered stevia for this? ALso can the extract mask the strong taste of natural stevia? thanks!

  • Vamos a ver si no lo ponen en español no me entero de na y me interesamuchisimo e puede alguien traducir lo que dice este chico???? graciasss

  • Get on stevia

  • Does the Vodka cost more than buying the tincture at the health food store? I only use 4-8 drops in a glass of ice tea. 8 if its a large glass. I hate the powder it has a bitter after taste and has a seditive effect. And it is upsetting to the stomach. However, for diabetics it better than most alternatives. The white stevia is too processed....thanks for the info

  • Greetings,

From my experience, avoid growing Stevia by seeds. The results will vary and time IS precious. I lucked-out and found Richters Herbs in Canada that sells plants that are perfectly sweet. Check them out.

There are also other companies that sell stevia plants: 1. Canterbury Farms, 2. Herbal Advantage, 3.Horizon Herbs, 4. Mountain Valley Growers, 5. Mulberry Creek HerbFarm, 6. One Green World, 7. Sunnyboy Gardens

    Peace

  • I put stevia to all my drinks!!

  • I'm wondering if Stevia isn't one of those things that at first people think is a godsend, then find out later it's dangerous or something. Because I just got done spending like half the day drinking a commercial beverage full of Stevia and right now I feel like crap. My stomach is bloated and swollen and I have pains shooting through it and my entire torso. I know it had to be the drink or something in it because nothing I ate today has ever made me sick before.

  • @SnotRockets55 Commercial stevia products are shit. Have you ever looked at the ingredients? It does contain some stevia but the main ingredient is some kind of chemical not far off from sucralose (Splenda). I tried Truvia and it tastes HORRID. I like the taste of splenda (packets not bulk pack, they are actually different) but I'm trying to stay away from it, but Truvia is just disgusting. The stevia plant on its own has some positive health effects besides just being a sweetener.

  • i read somewhere that instead of vodka you could also use glycerine to extract the sweetness from the leaves, and that the glycerine is supposed to eliminate the bitterness from your end product. what's your take on that?

  • i watched your whole video, and im sorry for my asshole comment from before, im a dickhead, but, how can i grow Stevia seeds

  • why didnt you put the jar into the bag ?--oh ya,,,,,,yer frum da u s

  • Yay! I'm super excited I just bought a Stevia plant today. I love herbology!! I can't wait to do my own extract :D! Sadly, I'm only 18 so I can't just walk into a store and get a bottle.. :[ .

  • @xXMikuGirlXx I love herbal science / health too, and inspiring others and showing them how easy it can be is what videos like this is all about. I'm sure if you show your parents what you want it for they can hook you up with a bottle. If not, you can do it with straight water and a little heat (think REALLY strong herbal tea) but it won't have the shelf life or full effect that vodka would. Just don't use rubbing alcohol. Your liver/kidneys won't like that at all.

  • @xXMikuGirlXx

haha 18 to buy what you dont have to be 18to buy stevia or extract

  • @xXMikuGirlXx I wouldn't know anything about medical properties or differences in the solubility of compounds, but if you just want to make a stevia extract and use it as a sweetener, boiling is IMO the best way to go about it. There's nothing to say about the shelf life either, if you sterilize your container properly and pour the extract straight from the hot kettle. I've posted a howto video on this subject on my channel.

  • Looks like you did'nt get on the sweet white cure fast enuff my nigga...

  • @DanQuinnPlayersClub hahahaha.... u so funny.

  • Me parece interesante la utilidad de la Stevia y quisiera saber la forma de conseguir algunas plantas para adherirse a la difusión de ésta planta.

  • Here's coffee drink you may like. Pour a packet or two of stevia and then pour just and ounce or less of fresh brewed coffee over that, then warm milk and pour over the rest. Yummmm! I appreciate this video. I've been using Stevia for over a year and then a couple of weeks ago in a farmers market found tons of Stevia plants. I bought a good side one. It's a lovely plant. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the sweetness out and use my own grown.

  • I loved the video. I'm going to try and grow some stevia plants of my own. It will be great to be able to sweeten my tea for free. Thanks for the video.

  • I loved your video. I'm going to try and grow my own. This stuff cost too much in the store. It will be great to be able to make the sweetener on my own.

  • search youtube "hcg before and after" the stuff is amazing, will change your life!!!

  • @noahm123 you're not paying attention. The reason we use vodka for this is because vodka is 1/2 alcohol and 1/2 water. Some of the compounds in the plant are water soluble and some are alcohol soluble. Since this is medicinal you want to make sure you pull as much out of the plant as possible.

  • @noahm123 You do want a high volume alcohol for extracting but rubbing alcohol #1 is too high and #2 rubbing alcohol is extremely toxic! Even if it weren't, it tastes like SHIT so I think I would spend the extra money so it didn't have such a horrible taste.

  • @noahm123

yeah alcohol=alcohol..so you'd better buy te cheapest one..

  • so you dont waste th bags, just make a paper funnel :)

  • Can you do this process for tribulus seeds? (or fruit, whatever those spiky things are)

  • WARNING STEVIA IS A MUTAGEN :WICH MUTATES OUR CELLS AS IT COMES IN CONTACT WITH THEM..STEVIA IS A HYBRID PLANT NOT WILD OR NATURAL STAY AWAY PLEASE..LOOK IT UP......!Hybrid plants are plants produced by impregnating the pistil of one species with the pollen of another. It's not natural plant found in nature it was created by this prosses.

  • @PastorErickDMarquez that hasn't been proved, but scientists are worried it may be

  • @dontworrybehappy6 yeah i guess you could never truly know .thanks i guess we should just be careful.

  • @PastorErickDMarquez oh crap im sorry i meant proven lol

  • @PastorErickDMarquez that's a complete lie, the paraguay guaranies uses the variety "reubadiana" as a natural sugar or over many years, get some information, hope you understand some spanish :D

  • just stick the jar in the bag like your packing a bowl

  • can i make a liquid extract from mint?

  • Thank you kindly!

  • I have a few questions because so far I have only seen the skitzo Dan Quinn endorsing it. So far I have heard it has substantial health benefits, and cleansing effects from drinking large quantities, and Dan also snorts it. This seems like more than a sweetener. What does stevia do for you?

  • @JustALIama man, the only known use i'm aware of is as a sweetener and it's literally had 100's of years application in that category. People do strange stuff to get high. Shove a pound or two up y our ass and see what happens. :)

  • dont let the cops know your doing this....they raid anyone home they thank has HERBS

  • @vacationboyvideos

Are they also raiding any house that has pots of flowers and plants? Because Stevia is a regular house plant.. I wish someone would try to arrest me for growing Stevia..

  • @blaafugl you be suprized what the cops do in my town!

  • @vacationboyvideos

Then why don't people in your town stand up for what is right??

  • Where do i get the seeds to grow, and how much do you save by making your own?

  • So when you boil it to reduce it does it burn off the alcohol? So its just stevia extract?

  • @mytoyboat correct. the alcohol boils off at a very low temp.

  • since these stop growing in fall will stores not sell them?? just asking

  • @blakasassin1 that is a really really good question. I don't know.

  • Smoke it dude.

  • You can find more information at steviapowderguide (dot) com

  • steviocide is 300 times sweeter then sugar pound for pound

  • Once the plant matures in the fall, dry the leaves by leaving out in the sun for 12 hours or use a home dehydrator and the lowest possible temperature. The leaves then can be ground with a coffee or spice grinder and made into a fine powder which is called Green Stevia Powder. You can replace 3-4 teaspoons in place of one cup of sugar. It retains its sweetness for at least two years in storage in an airtight container.

  • If desired you can also make some Stevia concentrate liquid which will allow your Green Stevia Powder to stretch a little further. You can make your own by steeping 1 tablespoon of Green Stevia Powder with 4 cups (1 liter) of hot water for 5 minutes. This liquid Stevia concentrate will be good for 3 days in the refrigerator and one tablespoon of this liquid is equivalent to 1 cup of sugar.

  • @BP3DP works great but this stuff is super potent. a little dab will do ya :)

  • @merddyn2002 Yeah I bet. I have heard the white powder is not as good for you as the dried leave. But I am sure your Extract is safe.

  • @BP3DP yeah, i've heard the same thing. During the process where they bind the extract to the powder they somehow get aluminum oxide in the mix. that's not really something I want in my sweetner. That's a lot of the reason I started growing my own.

  • @merddyn2002

wow, did not know that. thanks for sharing! I have noticed that the stevia I have has a funky taste which is why I primarily use raw sugar to sweeten stuff up. I will still use the stevia every now and then, but not that much. I will never, EVER use artificial sweeteners though.

  • looks good. My stevia plant went in the ground 2 months ago and has already doubled in size up to about 16 inches. How much did you harvest fresh to get one ounce dried?

  • Merd, you have some great videos here. Keep posting these new vids. I'm right behind you buddy.

  • Very informative.. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

    ~Cheers~

    Just B.

  • I just love your videos mate, they are simple and get the point across and the one thing I really like about you is that you are CLEAN! You can never overdue it when it comes to keeping it clean when brewing etc. Your not wanting to make new life forms! :) And thanks for sharing mountainroseherbs, its a great site and I have ordered from them a few times since I learned about them from you about a year ago.Have you ever thought about making incense?

  • alton brown trick lol the god of cooking shows
