@NRPBrute Yeah, got those mixed up, been dealing with 604s recently (a true pos). And that light duty pos Volare/Aspen you reference:

*1977 Aspen 360-2 HD: 0-60 in 8.6 sec

1977 Camaro Z28 350-4: 0-60 in 8.6 sec

1977 Corvette L82 350-4: 0-60 in 8.8 sec

1977 Trans Am 400-4: 0-60 in 9.3 sec

Not bad for a 2bbl against 4bbl muscle/sports cars.

Regardless, on subject, ALWAYS beef up the drivetrain if you do anything with the engine, otherwise, you get morons that post videos like this.

People, if someone daily drives a 620hp car, they KNOW how to properly drive a manual transmission. This was not an operator error. However, this car really should have had some safety built in to prevent grenaded clutch from entering the passenger compartment.

Good example why stupid people shouldn't own hopped up cars, or even do any mods themselves. Even my dumb ass knows to upgrade and re-enforce your drivetrain after heavily modifying an engine. Only time I had a problem with drivetrain was due to the configuration of the car by the manufacturer. My stock 1977 Volare 2dr Custom that had a TF604 and 7-1/4 rear mated to a 318 V8. How stupid is that?! That setup was destined to fail (blew torque converter, shot gears out the rear).

Light duty sister to the 727 which was a good auto trans. The Volare was just a light duty, never meant to be driven hard, piece of shit.

@brbroberts1 hard to tell without looking real close or actualy seeing more than a 2d view for a few seconds, but i can tell tha tmost of the damage was done to the transmission.

from what i can see appears might be the engine mount, which a steady hand and a tig welder could easily fix in a couple hours <-------------- clue (i agree with the other guy, dont shift at 6k rpm. youre asking to blow the trani that way.
