@WWELife4Ever This is CoreyCage on my other account. Yeah you can go top rope, we always did back in the nyw days, but after the second year of use, the posts started to bend when you bounce on the ropes or stand on them. so it's best to use steel poles rather wood, it'll be better in the long run.
hey, i'm a big fan of ur matches and i was wondering, what kind of tires do u use, if i stack 2 tires it looks bigger than ur ring is so wat type of tires
@OTLWwrestlingFed It's already on the ring and covered with the tarp. I couldn't show it in the video because the ring was already finished when I made it, and I couldn't take it apart. That's why I included a rough painting of the frame in the video. It's the best I could do to show you what the frame looks like.
@efwrestling1: The rope stays together because it is spliced, don't use knots, they will slip out, You can find a video on how to splice a rope on YouTube if you don't know how to do it already.
how do u get all those tires and do u need cement or can u just dig a hole put the wodden post in and does the rope actually hold u and has it ever broke on u and how do u tighten it, and do u know how much $600 candian dollars is in US
I was actually trying to get manilla a while ago, but I couldn't find it. So I just stuck with the nylon rope. I'm only going to be using the ring another year or two, so I don't want to waste to much money for only another year or 2.
it's really hard, if you don't know how to bump, it will hurt really bad. if you know how to bump, it will still hurt, but not as bad, and once the adrenaline is flowing in a match, you will barley feel anything at all, but you will probably be sore after the match. it all depends on the padding, i used similar padding to what pro feds use, it is one inch compressed foam. use that if you can, it's the stuff that goes under carpet. or use carpet if you want. doesn't matter.
answer. i got them for free at a junkyard because I knew the guy that owned it. you don't have to use this many tires, just stack em and spread them out more and build a thick sturdy frame. or if you can't get tires at all use mattresses. it was really easy to get tires where i live.
lol, making a ring is not easy. It will take some work, this is actually really easy for a backyard wrestling ring. wrestling rings don't fall out of the sky, someone needs to work hard to build em.
No, it don't NEED to be higher. It doesn't even matter the height, the ring is great and feels very close to a pro ring. Sure it would be better higher but it doesn't NEED to be higher.
If the turnbuckles just comes off the eyebolts then yes, you can hook them back on. If the entire eyebolt breaks off, you may have to get a new eyebolt and maybe move the ropes up or down another hole if the last hole was ruined by the eyebolt breaking.
Thats what we used in NYW while waiting for the ring to be built. A mattress really limits your wrestling ability because it is not big enough and there are no ropes or turnbuckles, so it really limits your moves.
I have some turnbuckle pads, but not all of them yet. When I get them all made I am puttin them on. And also I think I might put pipe insulation around the turnbuckle.
What song? I have heard it on Viva La Bam, CKY?
