  • A nice, balanced view, Rose :)~

What I find great about the MBTI is it helps you understand and hence respect both yourself and others better, and offers a certain amount of guidance as to how to use one's strengths to work around one's weaknesses (especially when one is young).

  • What if you as an INFP make an effort to understand others (eg an ISTJ or an ESFJ), but they can't reciprocate it back? Are SJs weak at being not able to 'understand' what an INFP might feel, even though you make the effort to understand them. In another words, as an INFP you use MBTI as a tool to understand yourself and others, but they can't see you with the same insight as you see them. What if this lack of insight on their part is actually a fundamental part of them being an 'SJ?'

  • I'm an INFP male. I didn't know my personality type until I was 33. I wish I would have known sooner. It has really helped to make sense of my life so far. I spend more time on my strengths now and less time trying to fix my weaknesses.

  • :) I agree. For example, I'm an INFP, but I'd say that I'm pretty organized, at least spatially. Not so much with my time, but with my workspace and room and computer and whatnot.

  • lol, i think it's mostly the whole time thing for me too;)
