I thought of it as a way of crying out to Ness, sympathising with him. Pokey mentions Giygas has lost all sanity, he has no idea what he's doing, and that always reminded me of a small child who's lost in confusion

and of course comparing giygas to a child will bring up fetus theory

@pokemariofan123 well first of all, Earthbound is actually the second game in the series, you would need to play Mother (the first game) to understand more about giygas's origins and the "prophecy" of him being defeated at the hands of Ness.
