Do not not confuse the old Classics with the bastardized versions of disney. Disney's versions are a joke and do not honor the originals in any way. Same holds true for Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, etc. All of which were darker than what disney presented.

The ORIGINAL Alice in Wonderland books were pretty dark, when Disney got the story they toned it WAY down to make it more their style and acceptable to the children of the time. The other Alice game you speak of was released in 2000 and was Titled "American McGee's Alice" and this game continues the story of that one.

This one has obviously made some changes from the original but I couldve sworn that Alice was put in after the fire killed her PARENTS not her parents+sister. Also, before you even started the game-play mode, didn't the game show you that Dinah (the cat) tipped over the lamp and that started the fire? Sorry if my memory is jerking me around, Im jw.

@Neenea13 Your memory is pretty close, Alice was a child, but age wise she was around close to 10 years old, if memory serves, and I'm pretty sure she had a sister in both the books and the Disney movie. The lady tutoring Alice in the beginning and the end of the movie I think was her older sister. And Yes, it was the cat that knocked over the lamp that started the fire, having been scared by something outside the window, thunder or something like that, been a while for me too.

Alice in Wonderland was a book first, and Disney made the movie for it, and then the game series was made. The game series is a dark crazy spin off of the book, and the Disney movie is a more happy kind off spin off. The newer movie is more close to the original Alice and Wonderland.
