@VipericVampire You're right, it was a bit cruel, but the cruelty was completely unintentional. The knife through the head trick usually makes the process very quick and trauma free for the fish, but that was not the case with this poor guy. I consider myself a very responsible fisherman who encourages anglers to catch and release. I RARELY even keep fish I catch, but occasionally I do.
@mapleslide Oh, my apologies, then. See, I'm not an ace when it comes to fishing, so if you were going to eat that, and this is the way to kill it, then I guess it wasn't cruel. This was just an odd-bird. But how come you can't leave it to suffocate in the air? I mean, that's what fishermen usually do with fish, unless you were in a hurry.
@VipericVampire Catfish are tough. This one had already been out of water for about 4 hours. They can live for days out of their wet homes. Amazing creatures.
Man, that was cruel? Why kill him? Couldn't you have just left him where he was?
