Personally, I liked Andreas Haukenes the most. It wasn't the fastest and wasn't all shred, but it was something I would love to listen to. Same for Ali Campbell.

I liked Matthew Haywood's because he took it somewhere different. The most interesting take for sure.

Ryan Grima's was fast, clean and well put together.

I didn't care for MAB's take. No doubt it was the fastest, but not very interesting.

Truth be told, I get sad when I listen to Mr Grimas solo (RIP).

@ajajaj2k4: He should be, he's the only pro guitarist who laid down a solo. I think regardless of how good/bad the solos were, everyone who participated deserves tremendous credit for having the bollocks to let people hear their playing, especially since this is on a cd for all to hear years down the line.

The general "forum war" competitions are soon forgotten and are only really ever heard by their fellow forumites, but the guys knew well in advanced this was going to be on MAB's new album.

@punkassSERBIA Hey there! I'm shocked ya like my tone! lol I say that because my tone got sucked completely dry the way I recorded it. Anyways I was just using a hi-gain distortion (US Modern) on my Korg Pandora's Box PX4D with a little reverb and delay. @ 4:12 are two guitar tracks harmonizing. No effect.

@guithero11 well, i didn't think he was that bad. nothing complicated, but his solo was fun to listen to. it was unique, and had that classic rock feel to it. basically, it fits the backing track and it sounded good as well. but hey, that's my opinion. lol

thats' awesome. I've enjoyed the track on the cd but putting faces to the solos was a really nice touch. I enjoyed seeing who it was I was hearing.
