Personally, I liked Andreas Haukenes the most. It wasn't the fastest and wasn't all shred, but it was something I would love to listen to. Same for Ali Campbell.
I liked Matthew Haywood's because he took it somewhere different. The most interesting take for sure.
Ryan Grima's was fast, clean and well put together.
I didn't care for MAB's take. No doubt it was the fastest, but not very interesting.
Rest in Peace Ryan, it's an honour to be alongside you in this track, you were always my favourite forum player and you will not be missed by just me, but others also. see you up there, peace. (blackorchidx - Ali)
@ajajaj2k4: He should be, he's the only pro guitarist who laid down a solo. I think regardless of how good/bad the solos were, everyone who participated deserves tremendous credit for having the bollocks to let people hear their playing, especially since this is on a cd for all to hear years down the line.
The general "forum war" competitions are soon forgotten and are only really ever heard by their fellow forumites, but the guys knew well in advanced this was going to be on MAB's new album.
@punkassSERBIA Hey there! I'm shocked ya like my tone! lol I say that because my tone got sucked completely dry the way I recorded it. Anyways I was just using a hi-gain distortion (US Modern) on my Korg Pandora's Box PX4D with a little reverb and delay. @ 4:12 are two guitar tracks harmonizing. No effect.
@guithero11 well, i didn't think he was that bad. nothing complicated, but his solo was fun to listen to. it was unique, and had that classic rock feel to it. basically, it fits the backing track and it sounded good as well. but hey, that's my opinion. lol
@guithero11 Sorry if I come off as rude by saying this but I didn't see your name or picture up there playing on a song with MAB. Jesse did great and I think he was one of the best on there. So you should keep your rude opinions to yourself. Thanks! Anyway, RIP Ryan Grima. You did great!
This is amazing! Good job everyone who contributed their solos. I really enjoyed this because everyone had their own style which was fantastic. I would love to be able to play like any of these guys here. Thanks for uploading this.
Thanks for the comments guys!!! This is Luis Armenteros...check out my other video on my account if you want...I have been playing for a little over 2 years by today and if you guys want I will post more vids...Thanks!!!
Jeez, I hope someday I can play half as good as these guys, my jaw hit the floor while listening to this.. You all are masters, now I wonder how would've been a solo from Killrbuckeye in here, he's very talented as well and has a lot of audience in youtube.
Thanks for uploading the track Maxxx, and you played flawlesly there.. 5*
dude this is so sick! what i would have given to be a part of this! despite the fact that im in no way worthy of mab. awesome job guys! this is a seriously hardcore shred down!

Truth be told, I get sad when I listen to Mr Grimas solo (RIP).
So fantastic, the tone, how clean it is, it's wonderful... And now to know that he won't be able to play more music. A deeply sad thought I think.
