Before we had a doberman ! while i"m playing, a pitbull suddenly Barked at me !

when peter, our doberman sees the pitbull attacking me ! he jumped and nabbed the pitbull ! they fought for about 15 minutes know ! after the fight ! i saw the pitbull with bites and scratches while my doberman has nothin on his whole body !!

the pitbull ran away !! an never barked at me again !! hhaha !

You should see what my apbt does to dog when wrestling like this. She gets bigger dogs down by biting there legs, and once there down she grabs by the neck and spins the other dog in circles...its hilarious. Thats an american bully so im not surprised his wrestling abilities are a little lack.

This is so funny because I have a Red Nose Pit and a Pure Dobe with cropped ears and Bishop (the Doberman) always gets dominated in play fights with Panzer (the Pit). Get Bishop in an open area where he can run and use guerrilla tactics and he'll win though. Bishop is about 105 lbs and Panzer is about 70 lbs.

Mine out muscles her best friend who is a german shephard weighing in at 85 Ibs or so. She only weighs about 55 Ibs but she gets him down with ease by biting his legs. Once hes down she goes for the neck(doesnt bite too hard)and pushes him in a circle by his neck, its comical to watch.

Dobermans and GSD's are typically listed near eachother on the "top dog lists", but most breeders agree that the dobermans are faster, stronger in the body, and have much more endurance than the gsd. Gsds do, however, have more bite force. Also, take into note that gsd's are HERDING dogs, not WORKING dogs like dobies. A lot of difference. Dobies were bred solely to defend - not the case for gsd's. Dobermans are considered the #2 guard dog.

My Pit-bull Yoshi passed away just over a year ago he was one of the best pups I shared my life with. Loved to jump the 6" fence to play with the neighborhood kids. He drove me nuts with that stunt and could jump back over if I came out to yell at him. I miss him a lot. He taught me that most of the crap you hear about Pit's is just crap. Pit's are GOOD Dogs but you have to take the time with them and they will give back unconditional love, the kind that you will not find in humans.

Funny story, i was in the vet 2 weeks ago w/my female German shepherd, and right beside me, was a lady with a Pitbull. Both our dog's were getting along great and behaving well. Yet, there was a lady w/a yellow Lab that was out of control and had to be put in another room. GSD and Pit's both have a nasty rep, and it's not fair.

@m1shadow Thanks for getting back with me. Yes I still miss Yoshi and his antics, mind you that he was thrown over my fence when I got him. I had a Doberman and a tough Mutt at the time and I think whoever throw him over the fence thought the Dobie would kill him but in stead protected him. Dobermans also have that same bad rap and it is NOT fair! Dobermans are my type of dogs but Yoshi showed me something special about Pit's. I will have another Dobie, but I will also have a rescued Pit.

Great dogs. They are playing and ive seen dogs play even harder. A s far as the lock jaw,its not that it physically locks, its just that pits have awesome jaw strength and sometimes they have to really relax or be trained to relax to let go of their bites. Its a case by case thing with these pits. I have 2 blues my self and my girl can really get a grip and my boy has more strength but lets go on the drop of a dime. But no they dont have a locking jaw. i wish my 2 dogs would play like this.
