She has plenty of free board I just wasn't dreining the tank all the way. She sits up too high when I do.

How you been! it s been a while. This looks great!!!!! love the size of the model! looks like you got the bug for big scales :D

haven't sailed in ages so hopefully we can get a few runs in soon. School is keeping very busy and i don't have room to build in my dorm... :(

Thanks Tom. It has a fail safe. I lose signal she blows ballast and up she comes. But if something as you suggests happens, although rare, we only run the boats in water clear enough to see them. Then you take a swim! ;)

One question:

For any RC boat, how do you deal with an 'catastrophic' sinking in a lake, for example? Maybe a ballast tank blows, a seam leaks or any other unexpected situation and the ship goes to the bottom? I'd hate to lose a normal plastic boat, nevermind this kind of kit.
