Having said that. The Kevin Bishop show is piss poor. After the pilot which was it has to be said, very funny, it just ran out of original ideas very quickly and kept going over and over the same unfunny ideas. The Wii game sketch being the most piss poor example.

Have you seen him in the film version of David Leavitt's novel The Page Turner? It's called Food of Love. Kevin has a brilliant American accent and his performance is top notch and has a nice bod before he started eating the pies. Plays gay convincingly too.

He's about as funny as coronary heart disease. Why he gets his own show as well as the appalling "Star Stories" is a mystery. I can only think that being funny is no longer a neccesity when doing tv comedy. Witness Charlotte Church's utterly dreadful show, Fonejacker, Michael MacIntyre, the IT Crowd etc. TV comedy is so bad, it's as if it's done deliberately. Or is it just that the teens & 20 somethings who watch it don't know any better? Kids today have such low standards.

My favourite sketch of his is the one where he is a racing driver and a snowboarder and is petrified as to what he has got himself into. Pure genius.
