  • You should listen to Krsna Govin Tan playing their version of this. It is a wonderful new take on it. Like a cover of sorts. But wonderful!

  • Goosebumps!!!!

  • what happened to Gandhi, he made one good film then you never see him again

  • Beautiful, brings tears to my eyes.

  • a very catchy tune. i remember listening to Ravi Shankar back in the days when the Beatles were on top of the music world.

  • Ravi Shankar being amazing, as always, and a shout-out to Hariprasad Chaurasia on the Bansuri.

  • I do not think Gandhi would mind too much how we spell his name. I think he would be much more concerned with our practice of Ahimsa.

  • G A N D H I, NOT GHANDI, IT WILL NEVER BE GHANDI, IT WILL ALLLLWAAAYS BE GANDHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! check your SPELLING

  • @hollymorgen It doesnt matter a rose still smell like rose even if you change its name

  • Anybody know where can I get the soundtrack CD for this movie?

  • @fireworxz It was never released onto CD. No idea why, because it is awesome. You easily find and buy the LP on ebay, and rip it to your computer, using a record player, and a special connector and software to convert it to MP3s. Some sellers also include a burned CD with the LP.

  • Mind=boggling how people continuously misspell Gandhi's name even when the correct spelling is RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR EYES!

  • @Mality No one can spell anymore ...sigh ...

  • Why have they never released this soundtrack onto CD? It is amazing!

  • NO NO MAN YOU'RE MAKING ME FALL ASLEEP THE LINE IS... SAY WHAAAAAAAT? say what SAY WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT say what SAY... say WHAAAAAAAAAAAT what SAY WHAA- STOP IT

    ONE INDIA

  • Many thanks for posting this.

Ravi Shankar could easily bring out the best and the essence of Indian Classical music. This peace fills the mind with sublime joy! A. R. Rahman should stop his musical alchemy business and instead learn from Ravi Shankar how to write soft, tender, melodious music leveraging the Indian Classical music.

Very sweet and fulfilling composition from the Maestro!

  • thank you, would you have the last song played at the end of the movie?

  • This music is just FUCKIN' GREAT!!

    Ravi is genious, no doubts!

  • Magical and brings back my own discovery of India, especially the train journeys.
