  • Very informative thanks for sharing

  • just like the tree people do...

  • what shelter "couldn't" be called a debris shelter...not many.

shelter is interesting cause there is no better, or best shelter, its all about where you are, and what you have

shelter is often a target of constant improvement too. a loom for grasses is not hard to make, cat tail loomed together in MN winters makes a great wind block, debris settles, will even turn to dirt if your not lookin

  • Isn't that called a "Debri Shelter"?

  • No, a debri shelter is has a different frame work then this one. My Native Teacher called this a Triangle Shelter because of its ability to withstand great amounts of weight from northern snow and ice accumulation.

But in the end what is in a name when there are so many different languages in the world?

  • Being from the UK I'm a little off from vermont ;O) you going to be doing how too videos? or just advertising snippets? I like what i saw from this and will watch your other vids 4/5

  • Glad you enjoy the videos. Perhaps one day your path will lead you to the Green Mountains.

Some of my videos will be how to and some will be ads for my Institute, as you can see by my video on Navigation vs. Shelter.

  • While I'm not very close to Vermont and have little abundance to make the journey for the learning, I'd like to build a permanent year round lodge out of my surroundings here in northern Indiana, the Baugo area. My dilema is thatching. Suggestions or something better?
