  • I LOVE short Horror films/TV series. Anyone else remember "Tales From The Darkside"(I'm sure you all do) Miss those shows.

  • My father and I watched this after church on Saturday. I told my bestfriend at school about it and he looked at me like i was crazy! This stayed with me obviously. Happy to be an 80's kid.

  • I was looking for this a while now!! Thanks youtube!!!

  • lol nothing like a good mannequin attack.

  • Ah.. the film that scared the absolute hell out of me as a child and set me upon the lifelong path of mannequin collecting. Anyone that enjoys this should seek out the Thomas Ligotti story- Dream of a Mannikin, or the Third Person.

I can't thank you enough for uploading this. Just need to figure out how to turn YT videos into physical copies.

  • wait..so what happened to melvin?

  • @brittanycurl

He's currently modeling a lovely polo and pair of slacks on a podium in the men's dapartment.

  • Just got done watching the dummy. Wow. This brings back memories. I remember I used to love staying up watching usa network on Saturday nights back in the late eighties. Damn how it was GREAT being a kid back in the late 80's

  • Wow, I found it! This is the short film I was looking for that once showed during USA as a child that scared the crap out of me. Thank you for posting this!

  • they need to bring back saturday nightmares.. TV just does not have these awesome blocks or horror tv anymore.

  • How did this get such a low rating on IMDb? It's got like a 1.1 or something like that. Totally not fair.

  • @BoredGamer Um, you may want to re-visit that listing. It's up to 8.7 now!!

  • @cheapcape

    As it well deserves!

  • This film seriously crreeps me out! I've had a lifelong fear of mannequins, but I adore horror movies about them! Does anyone know of anything simialr to this on Youtube or whatever?

  • @fogwatch Lookup and watch The After Hours -Twilight Zone, from Season 01, Episode 34, Starring Anne Francis! It is on YouTube of course. Towards the end of The After Hours creeped me out when I was much younger. I hope you enjoy it.

  • @JoeMC7 I know it well!

  • This is kind of like Tourist Trap. I'll have to see which one was made first.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this one, I don't know how but somehow I never caught this one on USA back in the day.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this- this is the kind of thing that makes YouTube awesome. I swear kids who didn't live through the early 80s have no idea how truly weird television was back then; I sound like an old man but it's true.

  • @mannequinwizard Oh man! 'Terrorvision'- I remember that movie. I don't think you're refering to the Charles Band movie- I've been looking for 'Terrorvision' (TV Series) for like 20 years at this point. It was a series of about seven stories I think, a la 'Creepshow', in one film. The ones I remember involved a vampire dentist, a monster in the closet, and some kind of weird mortitian who sleeps with a corpse! If you ever find it let me know- that film gave me nightmares for months...

  • @davehastings yep dave terrorvision (tv series) its here on utube called (terrorvision anthology) and its a strange one all right check it out when you see this.

  • @davehastings I first watched that movie on the Lifetime network! Yeah, even Lifetime used to be a fun channel in the eighties!

  • @davehastings yea, terrorvision the tv series the one episode was called "one of a kind" brenda gets turned into a mannequin if you get a chance which you probably already may have look up terrorvision anthology on utube.

  • Old USA Network > New Usa Network

  • Thank you for uploading this! I saw this about 14 years ago on USA late at night. It left quite an impression on me with its weird, creepy atmosphere.

  • This was genius! I was psyched from beginning to end. Why don't we see more horror movies in this style?

  • Pure greatness! I haven't seen this creepy oddity in over 20 years! I truly miss vintage USA Network, one of the coolest cable channels back in the day.

  • Wow! Thanks so much for posting this! This short was the reason I was horrified of manneqUin's when I was a child! HA!

  • Thank you so much for posting...I've been looking for this for years! Scared me so much when I first saw it and still does...so creepy!

  • anybody know where I can find PANIC about the old lady with the knives

  • @captainrhodes83 Holy s**t, I remember that- I think I still have the theme song on cassette somewhere- I used to record all sorts of weirdness off the television back then, wish I had this on VHS. I remember she's a hitchhiker or something? And the car is just idling in the rain at the end, really moody short film as I remember.

  • wow, i was 7 when i first saw this short film!

  • Why don't they show things like this on TV anymore?

Bring back the OLD USA Network from the 80's and 90's PLEASE!!

  • Thank you so much for posting this. Been looking for it for years.

  • ah back when tv was awesome sigh

  • Wow.

  • Finally on youtube. I saw this when I was 7. It terrified me so bad. The best episode ever was "dummy". That fucking short scared me more than anything I have ever seen bar-none! Little marionette looking at her under the door made my fucking mouth dry and my spine shoot with pain!

  • nah the best one was the ghost rape fucking awesome

  • hey I found a full version of the dummy if you havent seen that in a while cause im like you that was my fav when I was a kid so if you like to see hit me back

  • Superb!Tthis short work of art has finally emerged from the darkness into which it brilliantly works its magic. I never forgot that eerie music at the end and the look of the plastic face. It has been over 20 years since I had seen it on the USA Network. The music is equal to the creepy music of The Dummy. Well done, thanks for sharing it with us. It is truly one of a kind.

  • This was shown very early on USA's network show called Nightflight in the late 70's and into the 80's. They don't have anything like that show on tv anymore. They would show cult movies and cult music vids and all kinds of shorts like this it truly was cutting edge tv you never knew what was going to come on next one of the best.

  • Indeed. I used to watch USA's Night Flight, along with USA's Sci Fi (Sci Fri) Theater, Saturday Nightmares, and Commander USA's Groovie Movies. It may have shown up on all of them at some point.

  • @crowmd1 I remember how USA Network use to be like and I loved it too! That is why I am fighting to get USA UP ALL NIGHT back on! If you loved the show Google it or go to wikipedia to check out the USA UP ALL NIGHT website that is dedicated to the show and fans!

  • @crowmd1 - Actually, it didn't start airing until the early eighties, first on HBO for a year, then on Cinemax for a year or two, and then on other cable networks--a 13-year run, courtesy of fledgling cable networks and the then-need for "interstitial" programming. -TC

  • sry no its not the movie terrorvision it is a tv series that aired in britian with the same name with 15 min episodes and one was called (One of a kind) i believe it aired in 1988. about girls getting turned into mannequins at a photo studio. hope that helps.

  • This film has been a long time waiting for its debut on Utube, it is truely a rare one.

One last request if anyone has the Tv series Terrorvision (One of a kind) can they plz put it on utube it is also a rare film.

  • I know about Charles Band's movie "TerrorVision," which is rumored to be on it's way to DVD. Will see if I can't find this curious TV series you refer to. Also, if anyone has a copy of a rare film called "Six Hundred and Sixty-Six" (1972, aka "666 Mark of the Beast"), send me a message. It stars Joe Turkel of "Blade Runner" and "The Shining" fame.

  • yea i just got a copy of this film a week ago from a source i know and i was gonna upload it too Utube but it looks like someone beat me to it LOL i hadnt seen this in maybe 20 or 25 years and it is a rare short mannequin film.

  • I remember this, brings back good memories.

  • The same here.

  • my gawd now i remember why i hate manniquins

  • Indeed... :)

  • MY SEARCH IS OVER!! I have looked for this short for YEARS. Melvin's face at the end indeed was so frightening and ghastly I could never forget it. Most of these shorts I've been able to find (The Contraption, The Dummy, A Little Fishy, one with a killer dog and a woman alone in a house). MANY, MANY thanks. Can't wait to get scared again. "Big boys shouldn't play with dolls!" That face...@!#$ you Todd Coleman! Don't know how you dug it up but I'm most grateful. I'll be sure to spread the word.

  • My pleasure. Please share the link. Now you mentioned something about a killer dog and a woman alone in a house. What are the titles on those and can we view them here on youtube?

  • A lot of these short horror flicks that aired on Syfy and USA appear to have quite the following. I've heard of others like DOT, Devil's Ball but haven't seen. Found the one about killer dog! Called "Drip." Its ID here on YouTube is RmuSU5B55Rg. Also found The Contraption - 948gaOKxAnc. Haven't found A Little Fishy yet. The Dummy - ACiyoGprg1Y. Think I found Park Dougherty online...is now an investment banker w/ Wells Fargo.

  • @landgazr I've got two films that used to air on USA and one is 'A Little Fishy'. The other's called 'Coffee Break' and is really creepy- I'll have to upload them, I didn't realize there were so many other people looking for these films!

  • @davehastings i def wanna see coffeebreak

  • This is the first time in almost thirty years that I've seen this film. I didn't think anyone else remembered it. I saw it aired as a movie short on HBO between features when I was about 8 years old and it made such an indeliable impression on me ever since. Thanks for posting.

  • My pleasure. For a time, I had wondered if this would ever be seen again. Now it's available for everyone to enjoy. And as I've typed before, please share this link with others.

  • Finally "Living Dolls" has emerged from film obscurity! I felt I was the only person alive that recollected this short. Glad to have seen it again. I had tried contacting the director, and failed. VampireOverLondon, has succeded. Grats.

  • My pleasure. And please share the link with everyone.
