You can use almost anything to test the smoke detectors. Deodorant spray. Air freshiner. Steam. Or even dust. Ive also seen fake smoke cans but I dont know if they can be bought publicly or only by fire alarm technicians.

Just got a new pannel I don't make fire alarm videos becaus simplex pannel broke 2 mins after I got it and so I use a ademco vista-28f if u can help me wire it up I will greatly thank you also I have a wheelock as and 2 est intergitys speaker strobes and a est intergrity strobe

why not 2 wire detectors? Isnt 2 wire easier to wire and install?

To silence or reset the control panel you have to open the door to the control panel anyways. Without opening it all I can do is just view the status of the system.

When we got new smoke alarms (Regular house type) i own a fog machine so i warmed it up and tryed it and it worked great

you need to get a fog machine, that will work beter as these alarms use a light beam and fake fog will block the beam better.

Steam is not good for the detectors PCB because it can short circuit the resistors and sensing diodes by the condensation when it hits the detector from my experience of ruining 2 of my smoke detectors.

these r smoke detectors. Fire alarms means two things. It can mean notification appliances, and it can mean the general category.
