Very nicely put. I just had this same conversation with my mom who just turned 50. She seems to think that forgiving is forgetting. I don't share the same sentiment. For instance I can forgive the person who stole from my home but I will never forget and they will never cross another threshold that belongs to me simply because I haven't forgotten. However this does not mean that I don't forgive them. I have to if I want GOD to forgive me for all of my transgressions.
