SHENNGU SG108 cheap shotgun mic test

I have the SG-108, it is NOT stereo, it simply invert left channel and lower it's volume to generate a false left channel. Very dissapointed with it. Made some tests of pink and white noise rec: It low cuts under 75Hz by 20db/oct. It has an irregular response within +- 5db until 16khz. Sound is not so bad if you use only the left channel, but camara mic would probably be similar quality.

The truth about this mike is not so simple. I made a test with Canon 7D and found out that the results are better with SG108. Hiss is great if you record silent sounds because 7D has only AUTO REC.

I think i will give it a try, i heard more detail then the internal ofcourse you can't compare with the Zoom H4n.

I think Magic Lantern Firmware will fix the hass problem.
