  • let me drive the trucks i would drive them like i stole them instead of babying them like they did grow some balls people

  • why does the tundra win every test done by these guys its kind of fishy if you ask me i smell bullshit

  • pssss! 7,2%.

    11,5% 8km hill. My 20y Mercedes 208D 72hp 2,3l diesel 2200-pound on bed and 4000-pound trailer. this wos a test!

  • not a fan of the titian, but redo this test when they put the 4bt cummins in them!

  • yup this is why I own a truck.. for trailer up hill drag racing.....

  • if u wanted a controlled test, wouldnt u use the same trailer on each truck not six different trailers aswell as the same driver in each time. Reaction time fr the driver aswell as a small variation in the running gear in the trailer could had put the toyota on top easy

  • @theunexplanatory They use the same trailers and weights if you would look. I doubt the difference is a lot, unless for some reason everything they used was made with defects so all the trailers drastically varied in weight. And I bet the drivers are just flooring it or have some sort of advice being given to them. I don't think they are amateur drivers. I'm just not sure if they repeat the tests to get an average, which I'd think they would do.

  • The Nissan is a good truck, but an old fashion gearbox and an engine that could use some redesign.

  • fuck, that guy looks like he's dying of AIDS or something

  • a good test is to pull a 30 foot travel trailer. we did that with an 08 f-150 and it pulled perfect

  • I cannot wait for the 2011 pickup shootout! I only wish they where testing fords 6.2 in it.

  • ram best looks and interior

  • I think they used the 4.6 in the ford. How cheap. This is the first tow test I've seen a ford loose at

  • @codyshmody that was a lariat model they don't get the 4.6

  • @codyshmody wtf??? you cant get the 4.6 in a king ranch dumbass

  • @codyshmody Then you haven't seen many tow tests..... Check any tow test done between the GM Duramax and Ford Powerstroke engine. Duramax won each time, no matter which mag did it, and half the mags used the F450 instead of F350.

  • chuck noris could do that faster on foot

  • go chevy!!!!

  • Is it just me or did they literally attempt to make the new fords as butt ass ugly as humanly possible?

  • Ford fail

  • Yeah and thats why the next titan will actually be a ram

  • @Zeroto90 actually its no longer going to be a re-badged Ram truck anymore...they threw that plan out after Daimler filed bankruptcy....

  • toyota matched the Chevy in power but sucks way more fuel

    FAIL

  • @JOHNNYGIX Wrong!

  • lets get some diesel half ton pickups then compete them now that would be getting interesting

  • The Titans are good, reliable trucks, but if you have to haul anything, you should go with another truck, especially the 04-07 models. The new 08 Titans improved the axles a little bit, going from a 32 spline to a 35 spline, but the ring and pinion are the same size. 08 and up also offers bigger brakes. The axle ring and pinions are not nearly as strong as the other trucks because they are much smaller. What makes it a great offroad truck hinders it when towing.

  • I like when they said that the Nissan brought it up the back.

  • No one will ever make a sexier truck than the 2004 GMC Sierra Denali w/ Quadrasteer.

  • @mikelove2110 for sure it reliability its good, cmon man,its a nissan, but for sure every truck can pull, push, ect. but they don't have the same power or fuel savings,Toyota and GMC (or Chevrolet, which I don't know why they have both models, they're the same engine, this test is weird for my opinion)are in the top for me and this is coming from a Ram dude, because of the power, technology and fuel saving that they have, but for my opinion Nissan should not do trucks, except for the bigger diesel ones :D

  • @mikelove2110

    what year is the titan?

  • @mikelove2110 dude titan suck thier way harder on gas and they rust really fast

  • @mikelove2110 Dodge helped Nissan make their pickup.

  • man nissan really sucks a making pickup trucks lol I raped

  • why did th ram hit the brakes going up the hill?

  • DODGE ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!

  • And why is the Nissan even in these videos? lol

  • wheres the sierra?

  • id aredy guessed the silvey d wintho i nevergasseda chevy just my car sense

  • americans...lol when its a draw between two cars doing the same thing 2:02 you chosen the silverador, for extra hp and torque, but a real smart person would have voted for the weaker car, because it performed the same result, useing less resource,( hp, torque) witch only means by logic that it uses its resources more effitiently, better way of putting the less power to the road....

  • haha you can hear garageband music in the background

  • Is this guy Bill Nye's son?!?!

  • do i hav to say it again? my dad could pull a 5th wheel camper up their in his '96 dodge 3500 cummins!!!

  • @erevofreak96 I hate dodges Butt there isnt much a cummins couldnt pull!!

  • @erevofreak96 my dads 05 f250 could do this no sweat lolz

  • @erevofreak96 thats a 3500 dumbass

  • @Powerstrokekid1 noo dumbass, thats a 1500

  • @erevofreak96 Im pretty sure F150 is NOT a 3500 dumbfuck. You cant compare a dodge 3500 with a cummins to a 1500 truck. fagfucker

  • @Powerstrokekid1 i thought u meant the truck in the vid

  • @erevofreak96 that is nice i like cummins but 1500 to 3500 is like comparing apples to oranges

  • The Nissan Titan is dated.

  • watch out for the ford fukin tranny will fall out

  • @bestracer500 your a goof.

  • try driving these trucks 24/7 in a mine. suprisingly, none last.

  • Yes at full throttle the engine with the most HP wins but in every day driving torque matters.

The 5.3 may have 5 more hp than the 5.4, but the 5.4 has 35 more ft.lbs of torque at 500 less rpms. In every day towing I would take the 5.4.

And in the big engine area GM's offering isn't that great either. The tundra 5.7 has the best low end followed by the dodge's 5.7 then the biggest engine, GM's 6.2, is the worst.

So yes the extra valves do make a difference.

  • @Dereks06 yeahh when i look at cars i look at torque not so much horsepower

  • use the new 2010 ford raptor. 6.2l v8 with 411hp and 438 aprox. torque

  • @ryanleewhite2 that truck isnt made for pulling though its made for offroad just because it has a more powerful engine doesnt mean it can pull more

  • @austinman1995 yeah but the only problem is the ford used the 5.4, the smallest of the pack. they didnt use the 6.2 because of the turbos. but, they all fall under the same category. why is the tundra considered a half-ton if the rest of them, other than the titan, all have more leaf springs? when do they go to the 3/4 ton category? the tundra has one of the lowest payloads, its right on the nose of the heaviest of the other trucks, other than the 6.2 gm now, and its a ?half-ton? i dont get it.

  • this was another clean and professional video. i liked it. if toyota made a 6.2, compared to the 5.7, how much better would it do? I think, pretty good. all of these trucks did good, all of the trucks have good and bad characteristics, and I am partial to toyota, but nobody is perfect. I give an A to all five of them. looks have improved. lets all try and see the good and bad in all and not be so critical. we all like different vehicles, thats what makes the world go around. peace and God bless.

  • of course they are with general motors!! he even says it at 0:25 !!!!! fuck u. fuck u tryin to embarass every other truck!!!! and y did the silverado finish first?????? good question!! >:P

  • @tsblair95 where else would ou test it? if you look at the other videos the the ford and nissan do just as well if he was from gm he would have said the silverado would win in almost everything

  • @lespaulplayer1234512 well it did... and it shouldnt have

  • @tsblair95 there are many tests that the silverado lost in one of them is the traction control test and also the hill climb one......if he was from gm he would have said the silverado would have won in those two.

  • Since when can you get silverados with 6.2L engines? I thought that was only available in the Sierra Denali.

  • @dbennett4 thats what i thought. i thought the silverado had the 5.3 and 6.0 and the GMC had the 6.2. oh well.

  • @135yota Also, the 6.2L comes with the Allison 6 speed, whereas the 5.3 and 6.0 come with a 4 speed...

  • who wants a half ton if you are going to work it i need a 3/4 and up buddies 07 Chev 1500 series had to replace his ball joints at 58000 k went back tore the sale guy a new one they should have sold a 3/4 (2500) had a new one buy the end of the week an no issues to date pushing 100000 k now

  • Hmmm, I think this is heavily biased as I have used many of these trucks to pull and the Titan pulls the best out of all of them. So I am kinda not believing this at all.

  • @NIZMOZ44 in a video of the top five towing when the tundra first came out, the tundra won. u sure the tundra was a 5.7? just curious since titan came in last, even though I knew that it did out pull the ford in the first video.

  • @NIZMOZ44 I apologize. The Tundra was not the newer model Tundra that I drove. It was the older one and the only one that wasn't the newer body style. Otherwise I would rate them as Tundra, Titan, Sierra, Dodge and Ford last.

  • you know i use my chevy truck for work every day and its not about which can go fastest but its about which can get the job done the best

  • Ok so the Chevy just barely beat the Tundra because they were using a 6.2L in the Chevy and a 5.7L in the Tundra? Wow these guys are real smart. Wonder what kind of gas milage the Tundra 5.7 has compared to the 6.2L Chevy?

  • @j791 acctually i thinks its around the same idk tho

  • HAHAHA CHEVY POWER!!!

  • @ledzep112

oh yeah well my full ton truck will out pull your 3/4 ton.

  • chevy is the overal better truck then the gmc then the tundra then the ford ha classic

  • Dodge fucked up by dumping the Magnum. My 3/4 ton 5.9L can out pull all of these trucks.

  • @ledzep112 my 5.9 half ton just has no balls i bought the truck brand new and didnt hav the power i had expected from a 360

  • @ledzep112 I have a half ton 360 I know the dodge has more potential but with it's factory gears it's not putting the power to the road. Still right with the chevy and toyota. Put 4.10's in the ram problem solved.

  • @BoostedMadness yeah the 5.9 has a lot of torque.

  • @ledzep112 well my 3/4 6.6L could out pull ur truck 2

  • i think its awesome that chevy has to use a 6.2 to outdue the 5.4. What is chevy going to do when the ford 6.2 with more hp and torque than chevys is dropped in the f150. I guess they will probably put the 427 in it lol

  • @blawilliams well the 5.3 chevy motor has more power than the 5.4 (315 vs 310) and the ford motor even has an extra valve per cylinder over the chevy, not to mention a bump in displacement. plus the chevys fuel mileage is better.

  • @drewglis that little extra hp is just through the computer. The 5.4 is the most restricted engine in any half-ton, until the 6.2 ford has never tried pumping alot of hp in their trucks. I know for a fact, with a chip and air intake,(my 06 f150 and my bro-in-law 08 5.3) and a dual, that the 5.4 adds more hp. The dyno showed almost 25 more hp and 35 lb ft. Now remember my 06 stock had only 300 to his 315, but i had more stock torque. 5.4 is a torque monster

  • this is a stupid test doesnt pove anything at all you wouldnt flor it

  • Those dam foreign trucks shouldn't be there.

  • Which one will still be going at 250,000 miles and with the least amount of problems. Thats what ya need to know. The rest is personal preference on style and features. When ya lay down your hard earned cash you want the most bang for the buck.

  • @1213bigdaddy ford

  • GO CHEVY :D

  • FoRD IS FOR PUSSY WITH THERE WACK 5.4 HAHAHA GET REAL FAGGS

  • Not a fair fight. U put a6.0l agenst 5.0ls

  • get a 1st gen cummins out there it will show all these trucks how to pull

  • 2:09 ya "lose momentum due to gearing" The guy is braking! THATS losing momentum

  • of cource the silverado is going to beat everyone else it has the allison transmission

  • @dustman01 not the half ton trucks, and plus the new ford and dodge trucks got a major over haul and there is one for the HD silverado and sierra coming for 2011 models

  • all these tests about racing trucks up hill with 6500 lbs trailers is pssing me off its not about what truck goes the fastest or wins the race its about when you have 500 000 km on a 2004 f-150 5.4l driving off road in winter and driving 24 hours a day for 7 days a week ... thats whats it about.

  • @dave360dave I agree because these tests have nothing to do with real life situations!!!

  • @dave360dave yes, and nissans motor is bulletproof. next door to me is a frontier with 240k on it and its running great with nary a problem

  • @dave360dave you mean what toyota does the best?

  • Did you know about Ford is bringing 6.2L V8 400+ and will put into a F-150?

It might beat all this truck.

  • Its about time Ford put some power into their trucks.

  • haha! thatd be a first!

  • @z28kindaguy it's about time they made a decent sized motor for one again... 330cubes just ain't cutting it in my opinion.

  • i'm pretty sure that is for the 3/4 ton pickups. The 6.2L v8 is going to replace the v10. There isn't going to be any bigger motor option for the f-150, they are just changing up the 2011 f-250s. They are also coming out with a wicked new diesel motor that it very promising for ford fans like me.

  • rigggggggged

  • dont get me wrong i love trucks and i believe not only the large displacement motors are a lot more reliable over all but have more power potential most V6s would have to be turbocharged to hang with a natraly aspirated V8 and a good old supercharged V8 will walk all over a V6 a 5.4 would need to be better tuned and more expensive generaly to have the same power as a 6.2 not talking trucks talking motors

  • these tests are so BS!!! tht it realy matter for a truck to go 0-60 fastest??/ its not a viper its a pick up truck... it should test how durable it is and quality and realiblty and how much it can tow.

  • its not a 0-60 test. the time refelects how powerful and the towing capabilities on a hill. hence the truck with the best load towing power makes it to the top first.

  • @MHaQuE32 True True True

  • American metal, thats whats importiant ,get that chin chang chong shit outta here!

  • thats ford fault for makin a junk ass motor

  • Junk motor?,

It not a junk motor, what are you talking about? Its a great engine. My buddy have 2007 F-150 and hes shipped all the big tractors parts to 48 states and his truck have 351,000 miles in very, very few minor problems, she still rolling!

This 5.4L V8 engine hardly get any problems......so this engine is the most reliable.

  • question when won't a 6.2 liter beat a smaller 5.4 liter?

can you say not even equivalent?

  • A 5.3 liter chevy can beat a 5.4

  • um therers a 6.2 liter engines in those trucks or did you not listen?

  • @juggernautxtr the 5.7 hemi does really well for its size you have to give it that, it can pull 10,000 pounds gets 20 mpg. what they can acomplish with that size of an motor is shocking compared to gm the need a bigger size to try to come close example the 5.7 has 390hp and 407pound ft of torque and the gm 6.0 V8 has 367hp and 375pound ft of torque.

  • @homeboylx the 5.7 has 340hp and the 6.1 hemi has 390. but u right about the gm

  • @135yota the 6.1 has had 420hp since 2008 as i can remember and it may have had before then also, im not really sure about the 5.7 hemi i think it got upgraded to 390 in 2009

  • @judith3727 and a 5.7 hemi can beat a vortec 6.0

  • yea but the 5.3 can still beat the 5.7 hemi. Not on paper but in the real world... O yes it can. 5.3 6 speed tears it up

  • @judith3727 so what you telling me is the hemi will beat the 6.0 V8 but not the 5.3?

and also dodge isn't the best with transmissions so if they did throw in one more gear it would get beat and also im talking about true power without the transmission in this equation, I meant the hemi makes the 6.0 v8 look pathetic because the hemi put out more "power" and the 6.0 should put out more seeing how its a bigger engine.

  • yea but the dodge hasnt done it so that leaves chevy winning. i havent had no dodge hemi 2wd beat me in my 5.3 6 speed z-71 to this day. both stock

  • @judith3727 the stock might have different specs with the drive train etc

  • @judith3727 Any clue why is the Silverado faster that the Sierra?? is it the weight? or do they use different differentials?

  • @ssj02 Stiffer shocks in the sierra make for a worse launch than the silverado.

  • @Totenhosen17 I thought it was the opposite, i,e. a harsher ride shouldn't be slower...I mean mechanically speaking when u have less movement it leads to less loss of energy and better translation of power....but the real life tests show it as u said

  • @judith3727 well duh! if its a manual against an automatic... manual has it... that dodge ram probally wasnt the best model either.

  • @homeboylx she is a chevy person have to let her think her way cause racing and towing are 2 differant things specially when it comes to a z-71 against a normal truck not built for speed.

  • @juggernautxtr Yeah, im like chrysler better because most of the chevy vehicles we had were shit and our dodge ram 2008 is awesome.

  • @judith3727 5.3 cant beat a 6.1 hemi

  • @TheJoecool1972 Those new hemi's are nothing like the old ones. kind of a joke in my eyes.

  • @mkIIIsupras Ya, the old Hemis were big block monsters!

  • They dont show the jeep crdliberty that yanked it past them shows that diesel is for towing.

  • Eat that ford.

  • GM FTW.

  • YA!! in your face toyota and dodge!!!

    p.sford,nissan,

  • Chevy's 6.2L has what they say like 410 horsepower? That's pretty good power, but pretty sad that the 5.7L Hemi for the '09 Ram 1500 puts out 390 hp and with a much bigger motor they only have a 20 hp advantage on it. The 6.1L SRT8 Hemi puts out 425 hp. 15 hp more with a smaller motor.

  • Comment removed

  • im saying that the corvette had to get a supercharger on it to compete with the Viper. if a Viper had the same supercharger on that V10 corvette's would be ashamed. the viper has lots of performance parts on the motor but it's just straight motor...no forced intake. so what were you trying to prove? that corvettes suck? well done.

  • Comment removed

  • z06 is a 7.0 small block...zr1 has the smaller engine and it is a sbc as well

  • it's more popular than the Viper because most are half the price. and with another 2 cylinders it would be the same as a Viper. and the z06 made 505 hp but that was about all those motors were good for without going to forced intake like a supercharger. so, bottom line, the Viper is better than the corvettes. they have more value also because corvette's are like assholes...everybody has one. you don't see too many viper's goin down the road.

  • @91rxl650 Because they are all in need of a rebuild from burning oil out the ass.

  • also, the viper is 8.4...so you don't know too much.

  • Comment removed

  • @nachos1990 i didn't look it up on google. it's called knowing what the hell you're talking about before trying to argue with someone.

  • @nachos1990 The z06 has a 7.0L engine.

  • @91rxl650 the 6.2 puts out 403hp, thats only 13 more hp they should have made it more around 410 like you were saying. I think the hemi is a better experience, you get 390hp and 407ft of torque you get 20 miles per gallon and can tow 10,000 pounds when fully equipped in that department plus the 6.2 really shouldn't be compared to because the 6.0V8 is more in it's competition range. even though it could compete if it had the transmission to back all its power

  • Thank you for understanding my point and not trying to argue and disagree with me because it isn't something you wanted to hear.

  • The ram might not have accelerated as fast, but in real life, it'll walk off and leave the others on the long grades and heavy pulls. Flat, tall torque curves are the secret.

  • My bike is faster than that f150 pos

  • everyone is bitching about the chevy having a 6.2 liter engine but all the did was take the best engine from each of them and the best ford has to offer is the 5.4 and toyotas best is the 5.7 liter so yeah

  • all the trucks, tundra excluded, are built well. However if the best of best is the chevy or GMC whichever you prefer. They have the best engine/transmission combination to deliver the necessary package in a truck. Ford and Doge mechanics have ALWAYS told me to buy the chevy truck.

  • 100% agreed

  • raiderz111... didn't they say the chevys 6.2 liter was the only reason it beat the Yota!?!?!?.... the 6.2 has about 401hp... compared to the 381 of the tundra.!! Small potatoes I know... I'm not one of those deuche bags that post about how shitty one truck is over another.... but in long term reality, concerning fit and finish and reliability of a truck..... I cant happen to side with the Tundra!

  • @leroyslizzle amen to that, iv heard so many bad things about toyota. iv heard that they need to " mature " in their truck designing. tundras chassis's are garbage too.

  • One problem I see in the test. The horse power in the trucks were not equal. GM's 6.2 puts out much more horse power than any of the other trucks engines. None of the others are close to it's ratings .

  • Wrong. The Tundra puts out closer to its rating. Please come back after you've dynoed a Tundra. ;) The GM loses so much HP due to its parastic drivetrain and transmission.

  • @Sanosuke004 Yes but my point is none of the trucks are equal in horse power or torque. Some are close but NONE ARE THE SAME! Not a true test.

  • @silverfox605 How is this not a true test? Obviously non will have equal horsepower or torque, If they all had the same amount there would be no competition. Anways the Tundra has much higher horsepower than the F-150, and the Silverado...not so sure about the new ram tho.

  • Stop being stupid and ignorant. How the hell do you expect there to be a similar motor for all the trucks? It is a true test because they are driving what the manufacturers are dishing out as the best trucks.

  • so is i i like fords and are expidition pulls 3 4wheelers better than chevies with 1 or 2 lighter ones with lighter tralers through shuger sand

  • i think this is pointles imean oooo this truck is beter than that one it dosent mater it what u like and like i said it doesnt mater they all got the job done i just hapen to be a ford guy so i like ford

  • only a ford guy would say something stupid like that

  • I dont see why they would see which truck is faster that is completely stupid in a way a truck is meant to pull heavy loads not to be an oversized camaro

  • chevy again!!!!

  • Dodge and jeep king of HD trucks since 1920

  • sad thing is fast forward five years, and what truck do you think will still be worth a shit, which one had a trans fail,

think about it and be honest

  • someone should really come out with an aftr market tranny for the ram....

  • They tested the dodge hemi for towing? That's why dodge has the cummings diesel. The hemi is meant more for speed.

  • they arent testing diesels...

  • @bassbuggy101 i know they aren't. i was just saying that of course the hemi isn't going to be great, the hemi wasn't built for towing power. The cummings diesel was. i

  • @Xxjohnnyboy1xX by the way its Cummins, not cummings

  • I wanna know why they didn't show the finish between the Tundra and Silverado. Looked like the Tundra was coming up the hill ahead in that short video clip. The Tundra probably did win but they couldn't have a jap Toyota beating a Chevy on GM's proving grounds.

  • Say that to their traction test where Ford and Toyota beat the Sierra and Silverado, not to mention the Ram and Titan as well.
