I was dissapointed at first when Rocky and John left. But when I saw Will drum for the first time, whoa!. The guy is amazing he really puts his everything into drumming.
if it's all about the music lets wait and see what comes out of camp Evanescence.......since fallen, something was missing from their sound. Maybe the 'Ben Moody' factor????so don't hate on me for saying this but I think that alot of Evanescence fans noticed it too.

Rocky is one of the best jazz funk drummers I have ever seen and I can say that being he was my drummer for years. He didn't show much nor did he enjoy Evanecense from a musicians point of view. It was a check. You should hear the Sickshine stuff!!!!! :))))
Dark New Day didn't break up and Will didn't join Evanescence as a full time member. The new Dark New Day album is coming out soon. Check their myspace page for details

Will is a 100 times better than rocky is. Rocky is a mediocre drummer, he is however an awesome guitar player and he's back playing guitar in living sacrifice.
how can you guys say Rocky is a better drummer? are you kidding, he always tried to add all the unnesesary stupid double bass flams...and didn't even do rimshots on the snare(hence his weak snare sound). Will Hunt is a professional drummer, with a great sense of groove and serves the song MUCH better. Will's track record speaks for itself, he's played for a lot of pro acts.
thank you adampacker, finally a voice of reason. No offense to Rocky, but he was EXTREMEMLY lucky that he even HAD a gig like Evanescence and for that long. He's just not up to par for that caliber of music. People should also remember that Rocky did NOT play on the "Fallen" album, it was Josh Freese(A Perfect Cicle, NIN, etc). Fallen was a very tight album.
They are both very talented, they just play different ways. In my opinion, Will is the better drummer for Evanescence. Rocky may be better for a different band.
When EV were in Ottawa in early 2007 , I noticed John and Rocky had no stage presence at all . They looked like they were doing their 10,000th show . Possibly they were very , very burned from touring .... I don't know . It was good for the stage show to get new players in there for sure . Will is a GREAT drummer and I hope he is with EV on the next album / tour .

First of all, Rocky didn't even like EV, he's into all that super heavy stuff, double bass, bla bla...and he wasn't that great of a drummer, its just that he was with them from the begining, so it was time to step it up, and they did with Will. I have to put in my two cents since I posted this vid. My boy Willis is an unbelieveable musician. When I was teching Tommy on the last Motley Crue tour, Will was the cat Tommy called to replace him when he hurt his wrist. He played 7 shows and was absolutely amazing. I can understand Mr. slice's resentment since he didn't get the gig, but there is no need for such malicious comments.

He plays everything with a great groove and it moves you. watch the video of Evanescence playing at whatever festival they were at on here. The majority of the shots are of Will because he is the whole show. She can't sing live and he is the anchor. Keep practicing and one day...

will hunt dominates the drums, and has impeccable meter. as everyone else who has commented against you has realized, you dont have a fucking clue about drumming, and someone like portnoy would be embarrassed to have you as a fan. i know will hunt from the tommy lee days, and will hunt taught lee himself a few things on the kit. will hunt knows the part a song calls for, and you can hear his more complex work in other acts. but he doesnt overdo the song with clutter.

Yeah Sorry I just can't get into EV anymore, after losing Ben, it's 1 thing...But Now Rocky and John...They just don't Jam like they have in the past...I've seen them over 10 times in concert and sad to say I won't waste my money anymore :( MISSING ROCK & JOHN!!!

holy carp what was "brill, will" haha get it o w/e. he's fab i went to the fallen concert and i tried to get to this once but the manchester gig got cancled so i couldn't go. EV is the best band in the world and create the best atmosphere on stage. woohoo luv ya guy.

I think you will find that were not just jugging Evanescence songs most of us no Will Hunt is in dark new day and has played on other albums strangely so we know he is a good drummer overall other wise people wouldn't hire him, I'm glad you see sense that's you're a crap drummer and stop sounding so emo it wont give you much of a good reputation

hey DIET COKE SLICE, I like slagging off shitty drummers too. The difference I can actually play the drums reasonably well. You my friend are a classic example of a shitty drummer. I watched your videos, and you SUCK! "technical metal drummer" my ass! Your hand rolls are really sloppy actually. Will is much better than you, and he actually gets into the song, whereas you just look bored, you're not what they're looking for. Not up to scratch you know what I mean?

I have to put in my two cents since I posted this vid. My boy Willis is an unbelieveable musician. When I was teching Tommy on the last Motley Crue tour, Will was the cat Tommy called to replace him when he hurt his wrist. He played 7 shows and was absolutely amazing. I can understand Mr. slice's resentment since he didn't get the gig, but there is no need for such malicious comments.

dude Will has a lot of skill if you see what he does with Dark New Day he just isnt putting it ino this song and he is not a "sloppy and week" he does what fits and plays with a lot of power, also if he is crap as you make him out to be why did he just record Blood Simple's new album, be indorsed by DW Drums, Zildjian and Vater not to mention the fact Evanescence asked him to play for them, if he was shit they would have got some one better tp fill in.

well, i've seen those videos of you playing in the bedroom and there is something called "feel" that you may want to look into. that's where Will excels. He plays everything with a great groove and it moves you. watch the video of Evanescence playing at whatever festival they were at on here. The majority of the shots are of Will because he is the whole show. She can't sing live and he is the anchor. Keep practicing and one day...

will hunt dominates the drums, and has impeccable meter. as everyone else who has commented against you has realized, you dont have a fucking clue about drumming, and someone like portnoy would be embarrassed to have you as a fan. i know will hunt from the tommy lee days, and will hunt taught lee himself a few things on the kit. will hunt knows the part a song calls for, and you can hear his more complex work in other acts. but he doesnt overdo the song with clutter.
