How about the one killed two nights ago in Beaumont tx trying to stop a car fleeing in a neighbor from the scene of a domestic assault. a 10yr veteran with a family, and friends. I suppose he got what was coming to him? Do all of us a favor, and don't call 911 when you have an emergency, because most likely it will be an officer or PD dispatcher that picks it up. But when you do know that, even for scum like you, we will be there until we're 10-7......

When was the last time you stood in a major intersection directing traffic in July when it's 115 Degrees outside for 2-4 hours? And A/C is worthless when you're going call to call. Problem with libel and slander law is even if Officer Hite was alive, NY Times vs Sullivan decided in the 60s by the US Supreme Court pretty much forclosed the ability of public officers like Mr. Hite to be able to sue for libel or slander. The Supreme Court set the bar really high. If you can't prove actual malice, you can't claim libel or slander. There's no evidence here, so I'd have to rule for him in a court of law.
