I miss this type of storytelling on Days. Princess Gina, the Salem Stalker, the fake Salem on the island. Those were fun storylines that sadly we don't see anymore on the show.
The real Princess Gina made Kurt free her, and kidnap her imposter, Hope, instead. She's out there planning her revenge on Steffy, and on her way to Salem. Hope/Gina will escape this time, but then Stefano tries to get rid of Gina once and for all by removing Gina-in-Hope. This causes Hope to get a temporary case of amnesia, which makes Kurt find her and bring her back to the turret.

i'm really confused; where is princess gina, and why do they have hope? when does she get the chip put in her brain??

The chip gets taken out of her brain in 2001 I think. I believe John removes it, after Lexie tried to turn Hope into Gina once again.

This time, Hope is 100% Hope, and doesn't escape until after the New Year, when Gina dies, and Bo goes to France to find the real Hope.
