Crosby did in fact OWN Spezza, but at the same time, Spezza did all he could do. There is nothing more someone could do in that situation, it just shows how could Crosby really is.
This play is way overrated. Spezza did exactly what he was trying to do: Stop Crosby from getting to the net. Spezza shut him down again and again until Crosby lost his balance and threw it to a WIDE OPEN Letang who fires it past a screened Elliot,
After this play I turned to my 3 y/o and said, "Kid, you're lookin' at the best hockey player in the world!". I recall my grandpa saying the same thing to me when Guy Lafleur did something similar. Oh, how I love father/son hockey moments!
