  • COOL

  • nice method.

  • are those things one time use?

  • no its not

  • Here's something you can do to protect the skin. Purchase some laminating plastic sheets in the school supplies section of Target, etc. and use the same technique to apply it. Then your skin graphic will stay looking new and clean.

  • hahaha what are the chances he would use the same laptop i have to show me how to put on a skin :-P

  • That's crazy. The same thing just happened to me.

  • @dazle09 same as me lol

  • thank you I just ordered a laptop skin for my HP laptop and I was wondering how to apply it properly so this video was very useful to me! I think that the skins give the laptops a unique and creative look!

  • Shame you cant get theses for the Dell Laditudes since they have the DELL logo in the middle of the top back of the screen I mean I guess you could cut a circle where the logo is but man I paid $300 for my Dell laptop and I cant put a skin on it :(

  • thnx mate, is that skin is definatly harmless to laptop, like if i take it off the paint wont come off,

  • ummm u noe when u buy a skin 4 ur laptop does it come with a skin that u put inside it [near where u move ur mouse?].......?

  • Its a good tip. professional. BUT...

where's the HP logo with lights now???

Can you show tips on how to apply skins with a hole cut at the HP logo??

Cos i still wanna c the lights that come out from the logo.

  • I want a nice skin for my new laptop so it won't get scratched up but most places charge $30+ for any good design.. Thats kind of exspensive for a printed vinal sheet. They should be cheaper, I might have to use my vinal bumper sticker sheets and print my own.

  • @Prence you can find some really nice, unexpensive one's at computer stores. The one I've got on my laptop was originally $13 but I got it on sale for $7 and I love it! ( Mine is an Ed Hardy skin& Im using the same model of laptop that's shown in this video)

  • Laptop skins are serious business o_o

  • i thought you were supposed to wait when you wipe it with a slightty damp cloth, you have to wait until its dry.

  • cool man!

  • i have the same laptop its bad ass

  • me too

  • thanks for posting! very usefull

  • Great trick!

I'll for sure be using it!

  • i have that same notebook and the HP on back lights up so do any skins have a cut out for that part

  • use a craft knife around the inlay of the logo after you have applied the sticker and peel the bit away, it leaves no residue, just makes sure the design you choose has nothing important in the middle

  • neat trick!

  • nice video mate..some neat ideas!

so you just apply the skin to the plane areas right? i ask this as my laptop curves a bit to the edges..

  • thanks! that seems really easy!

  • In fact he/she (I have no audio right now and your hands are very delicate) is smart! I like the idea for applying some tape so as to keep it straight. and then cutting half of the insulation. I know the frustration when its not done properly. Thanks for sharing the tip!

  • runkaballe- Do you think that was funny?! That was really rude and uncalled for. Someone may actually believe you and ruin their laptop case...The whole point of the removable vinyl cover is to PROTECT the case not damage it...Fyi,and yes, certain cleaning fluids actually scratch plastic...What the hell is wrong with your brain..??? Oh, I know...you must have sandpapered it...Idiot...

  • good video man. it seems so simple, but most would not think of that

  • wow i enjoy all your vids check mine out!

  • Cool :P

Are stickers strong, and do they start to come off and peel after a while, and are they damaged easily? Sozzi i jus wundad :P coz i wana get one for my laptop coz its scratched badly on top.

Also, why do you have to clean it before applying?? :)

    Thanks x

  • How would you get it off?

  • is there much better way to cover up the scrathes of my laptop, not that way...

  • For cleaning you can use usual claning fluids or window washing liquid.

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks andoh555 !!

  • Anyone know what to use to clean off the top of laptop before applying the skin?? Rubbing alcohol??

  • Sandpaper

  • it would of been funny if it went on upside down. :)

  • Right on! Great video, thanks so much for the tip.

  • I was wondering just how to do it...THANK YOU !!!!

  • that's a really smart and creative idea lining it up, taping it, and ensuring no air bubbles. you just showed me how i'll be installing mine! thanks for posting this. and cool design.

  • made an expensive looking laptop look cheap.

  • Exactly what I was thinking lol.

  • yeah i agree, it is a really clever way of doing it. When i skin my macbook i'll use this method since the apple will be cut out and i'll need it to be perfect.

  • thats a very clever way to install it.

  • Yes, laptop skins can be used for any laptop. As long as you clean the face of laptop before sticking.
