@LAM805 eklavya was the name of an amazing bow man in ancient times according to hindu mythology. He was not from the warrior sect so he was not admitted in the gurukul to learn it but he learnt it on his own by just watching it and practising it and was the best ever born. When the teacher Dronacharya who refused this kid saw him he got scared that he would be the best ever so he asked eklavya's thumb for his fees (:guru dakshina) he is considered an ideal for archer and obedient student &man.

Delicate and deep... restrained and dignified... One of the best films I have ever seen in my entite life....

Saif is such a brilliant actor. Sure Shahrukh would have done well too- but he's more of an entertainer with massive appeal and charisma.. it would not have looked as effortless as Saif's performance. Eventhough he does comedy so well,  Saif has a dark brooding nature that just fits really meaty roles like this... anyway, just my opinion.... I love both actors for different reasons...

The actor who plays Eklavya is not one the the India's greatest actors. HE IS India's greatest actor. :) He is a full acting school in himself. His name is Amitabh Bachchan.
