this film was just silly. I praise its evil advertisement that got me to buy it tho. As I do enjoy slasher films...so when it said on the front cover "old school horror" i thought this shud be some brainless fun and enjoyable. Just plain simple deformed maniac killing some dudes in a wood. Plus it said it had Freddy Krueger in it, who is usually entertaining but he gets killed in the first scene before the credits even role. Thye were truthful about Hodder but Candyman also had only 1 scene.

The tagline for this mover was "old school american horror". I don't really see anything old school about it, all I see is ridiculous, mean-spirited gore. It's not fun and celebratory like Re-Animator, or politically charged like anything by Romero. Even Hostel, which most people consider mere "torture porn" had a fairly elaborate social critique underlining it. I'm not really impressed. All the old school horror directors had just as much brains as blood and guts.
