Mr. Nakpil, the composer, lived almost 100 years, and his danza is very reminiscent of the Spanish Filipino period - and very similar to our Caribbean danzas in Latin America.   • well played enzo. thanks for bringing back memories of yesteryears. this was one fhte pieces played by my then 10 yr old sister during her premier recital held in sept 1944 in the auditorium of the old Sta. Isabel College in Inramuros. Her piano teacher up to her graduation recital was the eminent Prof. Eugenia Agoncillo, daughter of Marcela Marino Agoncillo who sewed the first Filipino flag. hows that for a bit of history.
