i have a doubt about the game, in the snes version raphael is much faster than the other turtles, but he is more weak too, in this arcade version it s happen too?
@JSSTyger Oh wow, didn't know that. I never did play the SNES version (and I had an SNES, which is ironic). So both Hyperstone Heist and Turtles in Time console wise had Super Shredder. That's cool.
Ahh, OP demonstrated the most common misconception people have when it comes to the difficulty of arcade beat-em ups.
The true difficulty isn't in how hard these gamers are, but rather how patient you have to be in beating bosses. In almost every beat-em up I've played, it's in your best interest not to go running up and wail on enemies but rather time your attacks and sometimes hit and run.
@Satanicallyfree: i reckon this is super shredder in the arcade version since you beat shredder in the 3rd round of this game before you get sent back into time
the designers could care less how hard super shredder was on the snes because you didn't have to pay a quarter every time you played it. Shredder had to be insanely hard in the arcade version because people wanted to keep pumping quarters into the machine just so that they could have the chance to beat him
There was really no purpose of Krang stealing the Statue of Liberty. It was just a diversion of setting them up into a trap so Shredder can warp them in time and hoping they would never find there way back home.
The purpose was obviously to lure the Turtles in so he could destroy them. Like the Joker, he figures that the answer is simple; first, kill the main hero, then no one stands between you and your goals.
@TyrannosaurusPerez Terrorism used to be about ideology and symbolism. Taking an entire symbol like that can be jarring. >:3 They also had April so~ XD
I guess the reason I hated the remake was because I'd hate this version just as much if I played it. I'm not saying this version is bad per se, but I think the cheapness of some arcade titles, especially boss patterns, turns me away.
Also, the SNES version seems to have more variety. Neon Night Riders uses Mode 7; there's an interesting boss fight in the extra Technodrome level; the trap layout in Sewer Surfin' isn't as repetitive; the levels in general seem shorter and more succinct.
Yeah, I agree. I remember being frustrated as hell in the original game, and then getting to the SNES technodrome level. (The one where you were throwing foot soldiers into a mecha to damage it, right?)
It was fun, and I think this arcade version was just meant for four players. Holy hell, sometimes I played with 2 players, and it got intense.
They should of let us did the technodrome from SNES on this level atleast. And fight bebop and rockstedy, fight in the elevator, and then appear here.
2:56 some sit that ugly ass kid down, lol at 2:58 comment, good job though man at times when you had one bar left and you were fighting all those guys i wouldve been dead, i watched all videos 1 thru 8 play thru you have some hardcore skills, though with playing super shredder at the end it looked like you just didnt care anymore because you already died twice, but still good job.
There's a big problem with the ending. Aren't the Turtles supposed to be in hidding from public view, both for fear of captivity and because their ninjas? So why is Splinter on TV and April telling the public the Turtles exist?
haha "So much for sticking to the art of invisibility."
If I'm correct wasn't it Splinter who bitched at the turtles in The Secret of the Ooze for battling it at the Vanilla Ice concert, punishing them with ten flips? What hypocrisy!

...you know, TMNT III: The Manhattan Project for the NES/Famicom? Oh, and in both normal and Super Shredder forms, Shredder could also have the attacks from the first TMNT game, you know with the clones and the whole lighnting thing? Combine those things into a remixed version of this game and it would have been so sweet as a final battle for this game.
...but even so, if Super Shredder was even bigger than the Shredder on this game, then it would have been even more epic of a fight than it already was to begin with in the first place. My guess is if Super Shredder was in this version of TMNT: Turtles in Time that he would have easily been as big as Scumocide in Captain Commando. Oh, and by the way, I would have liked to have seen an actual stage as opposed to merely just a small arena in which to fight Shredder, kind of like TMNT III.
The SNES version was awesome, Cement man was aweful, Wheres the technodrome? and Razar and Tokka didnt belong in the ship, ehh.. and Shredder is Super Shredder big wtf
That was all it showed on the ending in the arcade of this? Man, I thought the arcade would have showed a lot more. And that didn't even sound like April O'Neil.
I dunno, I prefer Konami's tradition of making Shredder turn into his 2nd Movie Super Shredder form they started with TMNT 3 on the NES over him just swinging some cheesy, fake lightsaber.
