Thanks for your comment ! well the part where i'm rolling backwards is when my feet are just above my head so i think it has to do with the strength and force going into the chest stand because when i'm using a chair or a couch i don't have any trouble
hey, um.. i got a question my back is flexible enough to stay in the cheststand but i can't to seem rolling into it and stay in the position, i'm always rolling backwards again.
You know something that will keep me in the position ?
@contortionist104 well it can be a number of things either your back really isnt flexible enough, you arent rolling with enough force (which often comes from bieng scared whether you are aware of it or not), it can also be because you arent exhaling, sometimes when im warming up i cant relax until ive exhaled. Would you mind posting a video? it would be easier for me to help you
Your lower back looks crazy! Mine has stopped working now that have been really opening up the upper. Did you ever have problems getting all of your back to play at once?
@anakrousis yeah sometimes it just doesnt feel like cooperating lol. One thing I learned about my body is that can't handle stress on any part of my back for too long. For example once it JUST stretched my lower back for like three hours and it was really flexy by the end of it but then It totally gave out and it still hasnt healed. When warming up i usually take about fifteen minutes to warm up each individual part of my back (shoulder/ upper, middle, lower/hips) before even doing a bridge.
@Nicopico016 Thanks for your insight...wow, I doubt I have ever spent 3 hours on the whole process, much less on one area...2 at most. I don't really know how to get at middle back beside going from both directions (upper and lower) and hoping that activates it. Sometimes I feel I work it rolling slowly through bridges stand-ups.
@anakrousis You can get a big PVC pipe or similar, lay on your back with the pipe right in middle and try relax, this is an interesting way to stretch any part of the back and works especially well for middle.
