One aspect I think you should add is the head stock design change because of potential law suit. The WAY SAUGHT AFTER original like tour sb1 has that was changed with the little lower point he added the the later ones like on your jb2. I know you knew this just thought I would mention it.Oh I was at Bass central a few days ago and played around with the new G&L jb It is B E A utiful.I own a G&L L2000 But per your recommendation I'm buying a SUB bass on wed.selling my L2000 and buying a JB2.beers

Hey Dave recently got one of these its amazing! just quick question.. whats the action/neck relief set as on your bass....Fit a quarter under strings at 12th fret?

I play with a dead straight neck

very little relieve if any

action at 12th fret is 1/16 of an inch

if you pull hard or play with a lot of attack

loosen the truss rod till it stops rattling :)

I like some string rattle personally

as long it dont translate out to the amp

This model is my main workhorse. I have 2 of 'em. The sunburst goes everywhere with me, and the honey-quilt-top is reserved for more special occasions. the JB-2 is the red-headed step-child of the G&L family. The fanbois all love the L2K and ASAT series, for the pre-amp, and there seems to be a devoted following of the SB models. The JB-2 gets the least love, and is probably the most versatile of all passive 4-strings. Oh well, that makes those of us who play it all the more special.

Dave i think i love these as much as my LYTE basses.

This one screams tone man.Wow its got alot of nice mid freq there.

My local store has a MIJ G&L sorta like this.Its got the switch for passive & active but this one sounds awesome dude.
