  • How much weight does the handles account for? For example on barbell the bar weighs 45lbs

  • @dirtyjew1974 i remember seeing it as 7 pounds or so

  • @dirtyjew1974

the starting resistance (no plates on the machine) of all hammer-Strength machines you can find on there website. For most pressing machines the starting resistance isn´t much, it´s only in the 6-8 lbs. region, and also the weight you put on the machines is not 1:1 in relation to free-weight barbell presses.

My "records" on the Hammer-Strength machines are much higher than pressing real free motion iron.

  • Anyone moaning about this should stop boring this fella to death. One a real bench I can do around 140ish on a flat and 150ish on decline, on this machine I have pushed 200kg for 6 reps. It's a great machine for stretching and vanity (good for bragging down the pub). If it makes him feel good then let him carry on. (;

  • @richluke24

weird cause at my gym they got the same machine except its incline and I can only do a 45 plate and 25 plate on each side but on incline dumb bell bench I can do 75 pounders in each hand.

  • @coupe3kgt I only mentioned Flat/decline and this machine. I am up to 88lb/40kg in each hand on inclines. That is a bitch of an excercise. Funnily enough I got up to 105kg on each side on this machine last night (meant overloading it so had to be careful not to get seen or might get told off lol)

  • @richluke24 140 kgs or pounds?

  • @khav11 140 Kg's is most I have ever pushed on a flat bench 308lb. Basically due to the way it's levered on this machine you can do app. a third more weight. I pushed 230kg on it the other day (I know thats more than a third more than 140, but I also think there is a pschological effect).

If your using a machine you may as well say I can push "heavy weights" and not bother mentioning the amount as there are lots of mechanical factors. I like bragging what I can do on this machine 230kg.

  • @khav11 Especially since 230kg on a bar would pin/kill me lol. I was speaking to a massive power lifter down my local supplement shop who has done 230kg on a bar, that's just imense lol.

  • i once tried to max out on a dip machine and in felt like my rib cage was gonna colapse, i dont like maxing on that or decline anymore

  • yeah this should be called ' why this guy has no chest'. I think decline hammer strength is a great finisher... but dont sit so high up... you pressing from the bottom of your rib cage... fucking pointless... and four plates for five sucks!!! but not all of us are champs... get some better form on your press bro

  • worlds biggest plates

  • im am actually sorry but this is not legit try four plates on regular bench press with a bar then talk

  • the seats to high your not working the chest properly.lower the seat to nipple level and then try

  • @tocvolts he's right, i was doing the same thing you were doing. lower the seat and BAM! your chest should feel like burning coal after...

  • this one is a waste of time, concentrate on regular or incline.

  • Weak sauce is your new name.

  • that's pretty good man, lol i can do 290 lbs 4 times, so you're doing good, but i've only been going to the gym 3 weeks, so give me another month and i should be able to double that, being that i started out not even being able to do 280 lb once.
