I just did 1080 miles on the at.. I just found out the mountains to sea trail goes right near my house and now I want to hike that even though most of its on the road
I went by Stone Mtn (NC State Park) today and walked a little on the MST. It's snow covered and there were no tracks in the snow except for a deer tracks and some "paw" tracks. Beautiful area...cold...but beautiful!
There is a guy who has walked it a few times. I met him on the journey and picked up a mail drop for him. His first name is Scot Ward."Taba" is his trail name. He has written a guide book for the MST.
@jliam75 There is a guy who has hiked it 2 or 3 times who wrote a book on the trail. His trail name is Taba. His name is Scott Ward. I did a mail drop for him once. He's a professional hiker.
Most of the mountain and coastal sections are continuous, but there are a lot of gaps in the Piedmont... it's part of the adventure - I rode a bicycle through that portion
Awesome! Just awesome! What an amazing adventure you had! I hope to get there someday! Meanwhile, look forward to Part 3 of your Mountain to Sea adventure.
Loved the vids, both of them. I knew it would be good once Wagon Wheel came on. Liked the Tom Robbins quote as well. You don't want a stranger contextualizing your journey, we rarely get it right, but it looked like you had a great hike, met some people and saw some things. Thank you for being an ambassador for the MST and congrats!

Well... there have only been 13 people who have thruhiked the trail (myself excluded of course). I think most (if not all) of them road-walked.

Is there anyway you can contact me with the song list in this video? I forgot who sings most of them but i did know them. Is R. Vincent one of them?
