At college I stood out it a sea of conformity, and yes I could hear people laugh behind me. Thing is, at the club on Saturday night I was surrounded by like minded people...some of which I knew from school, and never would of guessed they went to the same place I did.

Even if the population is small, it should be there. It's called alternative culture for a reason ;)
