  • throw away your line 6 spider amp and then buy anything OTHER than a line 6 then start showing different guitars

  • I think PRS guitars only look suited to female guitarists.

  • action starting 5:55

  • Why can't I get a PRS in Australia!?!? :(

  • Search up Simon Mcbride, he endorses PRS and he is basically the new Hendrix!

  • lol. my prs always goes out of tune.

  • @Sage80 - Must be a fake.

  • @EPl6fingers no. it's as real as this video.

  • The thing I don't like about PRS reviews are that people tend to talk like Gibson and Fender are the only ends of the spectrum, making it seem like the PRS doesn't excel in any particular camp of tone. PRS is its on separate entity and should be reviewed as that. Still a good review though :)

  • @kylepianoman because that's what it is. every PRS player knows that.

  • He really is a terrible tasteless player.... With nasty tone.

  • Are those seymour duncan pickups? :)

  • Nice guitar. Love PRS's. Sorry, but you demo'ed with WAY too much distortion .... the guitar itself is drowned out by all the overdrive. Maybe you have another demo with a pushed clean level .... that would be much better.....that way, you could hear the tonal nuances of the guitar & p'up combinations come through. JMHO. rgds.

  • super duper nut material, so there no binding or grabing of the nut. some kind of space age nut. i find its alot of times its in the nut. and that the nut binds and grabs.

  • or creed :)

  • He didn't mention that Axl Rose in 2001 played one for the song Madagascar towards the middle of the song at Rock In Rio.

  • HE DIDN'T MENTION LINKIN PARK!!!! >:(

  • What guitar is that on the wall above the Strat?

  • this the best sounding guitar review for prs i've watched.. damn. i also watched the les paul review and his eq is just really really meaty...

  • "they use this super duper nut material with no binding or grabbing at the nut and some space age nut material when guitars come outa tune its not the tuners persay alot of times its the nut" wtf lol

  • Hey, HEY! He did not mention MARK TREMONTI from ALTER BRIDGE!!

If anything, Mark Tremonti should represent PRS Guitars.... THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

  • @DeathAdmin I was just about to comment that, but then I saw yours! lol

  • hahah no grabbing at the nut. because no man wants his nut grabbed or binded

  • This guy makes his PRS sound like a POS.

  • love the face he makes while he plays

  • A prs isn't anywhere near a les paul or strat. Its a prs. Its a whole diffrent universe, not better or worse, but its own thing.

  • what kind of tremolo is that?

  • he doesnt putt that balls off his mouth aeuhueahaeuheauhea

  • space age nut material

  • That super-duper space age material is called graphite.. :P

  • Especially Alex lifeson from rush perhaps he uses Gibson more but he used prs once

  • Or Tremonti, how can you forget Tremonti!!!

  • Comment removed

  • dont forget chevelle!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oowwchhh...kinda BRIGHT?

  • you make a funny face when u play xD

  • These pickups are like how I like my women. Hot, Fat, and Screaming.

  • "Space age nut material" hahahahahah!

  • I like when gets "SPANKY" at 8:13...LOL.

  • i love it!!! what does it cost?, i am looking for a good new guitar

  • @MYEYESONECONOMY PRS guitars like David's are a couple grand but the Se's are quite nice and around 5-700 bucks

  • @bearfeymous thanks for the advice, what kind of prs can i get for 1500-2000 bucks?

  • @MYEYESONECONOMY Something nice out of the SE line but I doubt if 2k would be enough to buy a PRS from the regular production line :/ Although I believe that there are regular production models like Mira that you can easily buy with that amount of money so my suggestion would be to go and check on eBay if you're not crazy about buying first hand material :/

  • @MYEYESONECONOMY A PRS 'Mira' I think they're called. Anyone correct that if I'm wrong. Personally, I'd save a little more and get a custom 24. Literally right now, I'm in the process of saving for a PRS DGT.

  • @bearfeymous do they come without floyd rose?

  • @MYEYESONECONOMY Yeah they do. If they don't you can always disable it yourself.

  • @bearfeymous how do you mean disable it? because i realy don't like floyd rose

  • @MYEYESONECONOMY You can buy it without the floyd rose. Disabling it is taking out the bar and filling the hole with some wood and a few other adjustments so that the bridge doesn't move.

  • @bearfeymous i see. thanks for the feedback!

  • i have a question, i was thinking about getting a PRS SE Custom 24 or a Fender Mexi Strat...idk which one wuld be better.

i play Woodstock 69 kinda music, Blues, Indie, Classic Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Punk..

    Please respond, thank you

p.s. Doing great on ur vids man

  • @XmonkeychexX For the type of music you play, I'd say that you can't go wrong with a Fender Stratocaster or even better with a Telecaster with at least a humbucker ;-|

  • @Ningirsutyr but Strats and Teles dont provide you with that thick heaviness for heavier styles of music. Even with HSS or HH configuration.

  • @XmonkeychexX

i can only afford a mexi strat

  • space age nut material, You just earned another subscriber xD

  • PRS guitars are very good instruments. They are flawlessly built and have VERY few problems. I still prefer to play Gibson. I'm not a fan of how PRS guitars feel. Its a preference thing, nothing else. =)

  • @guitarman840 what don't you like in the feel? i'm thinking of buying a prs and i'm doing a bit of research :D

  • @MYEYESONECONOMY I can't exactly put my finger on it. I think its a combination of everything. I don't like how it hangs on my body, I don't like the neck, it feels clumsy to me. But like I said, its all just personal preference. There are folks out there that LOVE PRS guitars and hate Gibsons. PRSs are great instruments. My advice to you is play a few of them. If you like 'em, pick one up. They're awesome, but they're just not right for me! I hope I helped =)

  • @guitarman840 you sure did! thanks

  • MY FAVORITE FUCKING GUITARA 4 LIFE PRS SANTANA MODELS AIGHT TO

  • 4:15

  • 4:12

  • 4:14

  • The Reason why PRS styas in tune is due to it's peg alignment and locking tuner then the bridge it's self.

  • Brad delson from Linkin park

  • thats a shitty tone right there!

  • Cool Vid, I like it! Nice job man.

No coffee cups lying around and what not either!

  • ddint mention shinedown or alter bridge two great players with signature prs guitars :P

  • Hahaa he said "what not"

  • I personally think the reason it stays in tune is LOCKING TUNERS. :\

  • How would you compare craftsmanship of the PRS guitars to Carvin guitars, especially their new 624 Model which seems to look very much to a PRS model or Two. LOL?

  • Excellent video. I'm a beginner so I'm trying to feel my way through the electric guitar spectrum and just happened upon this video. Probably won't get a PRS until I get some more experience, but I am very impressed. Consider me subscribed.

  • Not a lot of grab at the nut! Ha, god i'm immature

  • Ballsy

  • Are they American made?

  • look, i have a les paul dc, want another guitar with whammy, what guitar should y buy?

  • Thank you for sharing, David. I have been following your tutorials with my Ibanez hollow body (cream color) AG85, a black Epi Goth SG series, my Fender Squire and a 1975 Susuki folk acoustic. I love them all.

  • I wish PRS could make the custom 24s with a 2 volume and 2 tone.

  • Paul Reed Smith is amazing...

  • prs guitars are the gayest guitars in existence

  • @lSTAYHlGH You're worst troll i've seen. My friends old man has some old hollowbody custom shop PRS. Gotta say I would use it on death metal or blues its so damn awesome guitar.

  • @2scrimble9 ya dude so many awesome bands use them, nickleback, good charlotte, creed, flyleaf the list just goes on man

  • i swear to god these guys have the shittiest tone...

  • Horrendous sound.

  • I don't under stand one thing.

I listen to Japanese music alot, japanese rock bands but in this video there is said, great artist like and sum 41 and 3 doors down are mentiont, there famous bands but they aren't technical genious. Japanese bands on the other hand are technical very very VERY skilled, and they are never mentiont... just sayin'^^

  • space age nut material lol

  • @darkeagle551 Sounds like genetically engineered semen or something LOL.

  • Yeah I understand what you're saying but it's absolutely true that Gibson are not building guitars as well as PRS. I'm not being dogmatic when I say that, I judge from personal experience and from speaking to many other people. I do like Gibson though, their acoustics are excellent and very resonant.

  • Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park plays also a PRS

  • he really likes balls :)

  • Space age nuts.

  • PRS are much better than Gibson, even the affordable SE line are much better than Gibson. I've had USA Gibson and now I own an SE Custom so I'm in a good place to judge.

  • @Musicartsandcoffee Saying one brand is better than another is ignorance to the max. It depends on your taste.

  • i got an eg1 from `93 , looks really used , but it´s still in tune & i love the sound !(play it over a mesa boogie dc5 , sweet!)

  • that's the guy !

  • dudes its me or paul reed smith are used for all music genres: DEATH METAL, progressive, blues, jazz, hard rcok, punk rock, DEATH FUCKIN SATANIC BLACEKEND BRUTAL METAL and kids sweet songs....WTF??

  • @kingmonster12 theres no specific electric guitar for a certain sound. this isnt guitar hero PRS are popular because they were built for tone and with the 5 way switch you can get classical tones to heavy tones they come with HFS pickups which are hot pickups which is good for all that crap you mentioned

  • @kingmonster12 I use one on clean a lot..

  • @kingmonster12 god plays with PRS

  • Why does this dude have to wear that cap like that all the time. He looks like he's trying desperately to be hip and young.

  • my tutor in the uk has one of these in matakic blue

  • ballsy

  • he sure says ballsy alot. LOL

  • are PRS guitars good for playing ambient music? something with lots of reverb and delay, like the band Hammock...

  • @SmallFish616 Yes. Look up Porcupine Tree, especially their early stuff.

  • @SmallFish616 PRS can be used for pretty much anything; like Ibanez RGs.

  • There is a PRS for ANY sound you want. The beauty of the instrument is the quality, and the versatility. Doubt me? Go to your guitar shop and demo a 513 for an hour. With a decent amp, it will play anything. I love Gibs and Fenders, but the technology Paul has in his guitars is vastly superior. Wanna really cool surprise? Check out one of his acoustics... Oh lord they are sweet...

  • Everything sounds "ballsy" when you always have the gain and mid all the way up to 10 on a shitty line 6 amp.

  • Why would anyone play a PRS CE, a guitar of AMAZING quality out of a shitty digital amp like that?

  • @Noseheros he can probably get a good sound from it... as can anyone else if they try...

  • @TehSeanRadcliffe Oh of course, I mean no hate or anything, David's awesome, but its like a potential thing, a PRS is AMAZING with their quality and that cant even be seen through an amp like that, with even just a small tube amp like a Fender Blues Jr it would sound so much better than this, not that this is bad

  • I wonder how many times he said Ballsy...cant say beefy? I mean ballsy just sounds weird

  • I've got one of these in whale blue. amazing guitars, not much really compares to them in their budget. Shame this model is discontinued ]:

  • which amp did you use with wich settings?

  • that guy knows his balls

  • the prs have the best shape. more beautiful than fender strat or les paul, or any other guitar shape. I WANT ONEEE!!! its really beautiful

  • awesome, awesome quality, i have to say, paul reed smith might be right up there with les paul and leo fender on innovation, but i do prefer epiphone dots and fender strats but this is a jem of a guitar. and people say epiphone dots are crap, if you drop in new 'buckers then it has kick ass blusey tone, like strats do :)

  • 01:23

Yeah, true. Lol. I always go to Guitar Center, and they are always behind the counter. I played the Mira, and I loved it!

  • cocaine sniff @ 4:15

  • I have heard that even the PRS SE Models, which are made overseas are made to a very high quality. How would YOU raye the PRS SE's?

  • Sound bad ass, but looks like shit. All PRS look like shit.

  • @Macsk8ing D: I have to say I don't like this one but most are gorgeous!! D:

  • @Macsk8ing Are you blind?

  • @idostuff147 Not, I'm just a fan of les pauls and sg's. It's just an opinion, maybe you hate les pauls and sg's.

  • @Macsk8ing Sorry, I guess that was kinda rude. I do like Gibsons, especially SGs.

  • @idostuff147 Haha, it's ok, no prob. man! ;)

  • idk, between the buried and me uses prs and I'd say their tones pretty ballsy, haha

then again, im sure the dimarzio d-activator pickups help

  • It's most likely reverb. Reverb tends to give the effect that you're playing in a large acoustic room and the strings tend to ring out and chime.

  • hahaha......Ballsy......

  • What effect are u using at 8.22 - 8.30 And also at 8.53 - 9.10 or is that clean with the guitar?

  • someone likes balls :P

  • what about Benjamin Burley he uses one (Breaking benjamin)

  • @tillison23459 he has a bunch of paul reed smiths. the one with breaking benjamin logo inlays is a hollowbody

  • You sir, made me go and try one. And now it is right next to me!

  • Damn. He REALLY likes balls.

  • He forgot to mention that Marty Friedman , one of the greatest guitarists of all time , Plays PRS

  • @Shink5 really? i thought that marty played Jacksons

  • @guitaroon Nah First he played Carvins , Then him and Dave Mustaine switched to Jackson , then he Switched to Ibanez , and now he's with PRS

  • PRS are very expensive but so nice, its hard to stop playing

  • He has these expensive guitars and a crappy amp. I don't get it.

  • If you wanna get the actual sound of the guitar, try playing it out of a tube amp, not a Line 6 Spider or whatever Solid State you have.

  • I used to talk to Paul for hours in the 70's I wanted a apprenticship with him I sure wish he would gave me it we stopped talking when he was giving me a deal on a guitar for $1000 but I was unemployed and I couldn't aford it later I ended up with a Gibson SG Custom Damn I still want to learn to make guitars

    PAUL NEED ANY HELP

    Curteharris@yahoo.com

  • lmao he doesnt play till 5:39

  • thats because its a review, if you're actually interested in the guitar you would be listening.

  • @raquel1234ful more like 5:45, hahaha

  • @raquel1234ful So? You need to TALK about it too! It's a REVIEW, he talks about what he likes about it etc.

  • i almost prefer prs to Gibson........ i think :P

  • @guitarplayingdork100 WAy better quality, they are better guitars than Gibsons, Gibsons just got a famous name a boosted up price tag, PRS' are more expensive than Gibsons but they're much better

  • @guitarplayingdork100 youre damn right you do

  • @guitarplayingdork100 Me too, Gibson guitars are overrated and people think they are the only guitars available, Gibson is just so so, not anything special, over produced, and they look like they are made to mimic old guitars. PRS makes guitars that scream modern tones, not nostalgic looks of the 1960s like Gibson. And Paul Reed Smith will make you any guitar you want with way more options that any other brand

  • he forgot paul waggoner and dustie waring

  • forgot tremonti dude

  • damnit i want one of these

  • super dopper, space age nut material lol

  • @00redgsr I wish my nut was made of space age material :3

  • u forgot mark tremonti from creed

  • what type of tremolo system it uses?

  • @ace4dsl the prs system, they have an own..

  • dude i like your vids but please get a better amp to test amazing guitars like this through. almost everything line 6 makes sounds terrible.

  • At least you know what to look for when buying a PRS.

  • Thanks for a great review...I just ordered mine - excited to get it =D

  • I love my PRS'

Santana Se '02 planet waves self trim tuners, dragon II pickup bridge/neck

Mccarty 06' bone string seats/ saddle bone nut.

    I love playing both!

  • doesn't the NiN guitarist play on a schecter?

  • Line 6 - total tone destruction

  • PRS sucks....... fender, gibson,ESP,ibanez, etc are so much better (except for squire)

  • @bbshooter1221 I don't even need to tell you how retarded you are. Your statement says it all. None of those guitar manufacturers even come close to the quality of craftmanship and the tonal versatility that PRS has.

  • @bbshooter1221 its called sarcasm dude.... isint it that obvious?

  • @bbshooter1221 their pricing sucks. not all models. n yeah squier sucks donkey ballz

  • I wonder if the SE versions are as close to the more expensive PRS guitars as the Mexican made Strats are to the US made ones.

  • @noslen1968 I have a PRS SE Torero that is amazing. It is nicer than any other $1000 guitar I have ever played or seen,or heard about. The quality, sound, and playability are top notch.

  • I've never owned a PRS (and I've owned a few) where the plating didn't flake off the tuners.PRS are good but they're not as good as the hype would have you believe...they're very nice guitars but they ain't the ultimate by any means.

And this man can't get a 'ballsy' sound out of anything...at least judging by his work on this channel.Lol

  • i think prs guitars are the most overrated and overhyped guitars EVER

their "tone" either sounds like a muddled frankenstein of every brand or complete shit-after all, theres a reason you see about 10x more gibbys and fenders on stage than prs

but they sure know how to make a good trem and a great finish

  • @jahrastapack You see 10X the Gibsons and Fenders on stage for several reasons..(1) Gibson and Fender have been around for 35-40 years longer than PRS. (2) Because Fender and Gibson has been around for so many more years, people have lond established their tone and style with those particular guitars. (3) An average Fender American Strat (standard) costs around $1000, an Average Les Paul (Studio) costs around $1400, and an average PRS costs around $2000.

  • Their is nothing overrated about PRS. If you're getting shitty tone out of it, it is because you have no ability to adjust your tone on your amplifier. I certainly don't have that problem. Jonny Hiland doesn't seem to have that problem. Santana doesn't seem to have that problem. Orianthi doesn't seem to have that problem. Anyone who can make simple tone adjustments on an amplifier doesn't seem to have that problem. Oh, and most of your tone comes from your fingers. Maybe you can't play well...

  • Space age nut material

  • ballsy

  • I WANT ONE.

  • Thats a weird lookin guitar in the back next to that Strat. Can someone tell me what kind it is, it looks crazy but nice

  • @garcia1dallas its an ovation
