  • Well play... This is very awesome... I can't not believe this is Fender japan version. Sound really good - so vintage...

  • @superannop Thanks :-)

  • Awesome!!! 52ri? What pickups you runnin? Is that a Blues Jr?

  • @dparel Thanks. It's a 1982 Japanese Vintage RI. They're Bare Knuckle Piledrivers, and that's a Blues Deluxe (long gone now)

  • please download backing track ?

  • @juniorf87 get the backing track here!! Google Ron Sayer Jr. and look in the store!

  • Amazing tone and playing. Just the way I want to play blues rock when I grow up. :)

  • @Sn4pDr4gon Thanks :-)

  • hey I know this is a old video but is there anyway I can get your backing track to this? as I would love this to be one of the songs I have to play for my college recital this friday

  • This is wonderful and my kind of playing and tone. Lovely stuff.

  • @nib43 Very kind cheers :-)

  • Ummm that's not "Indianola".

  • @SeeburgMusic Not sure what you're getting at? Technically it is 'Indianola'. It may not be as good as the original but the notes are certainly in the correct order in terms of the melody. Yes, the solo is different but I'm not Robben Ford. Thanks for listening :-)

  • Very good!Great tone and feeling!

Do you use od pedal or guitar and amp only?

  • Hi, thanks. I used an Ibanez Tube King TK999 :-)

  • I love this song great version good tone as well

  • Thanks very much :-)

  • do you know where i can get the tabs for this song or this rendition

  • Nice! indeed...

  • hey great sound! u definatly have feeling while ur playing this song. i cane across it by fluke. i typed in my hometown, and got a realy cool song! lol.

    keep playig!

  • Thanks for the kind words :-)

  • hi Ron, that's some really good playing! melodic, taking its time and building up on the way - not the zillion-notes-per-second-right-from-the-start-overkill some people seem to mistake for competent guitar playing allt o often. and the tone is surely Ford-ish enough for anyone referring to him. I wonder, though, what exactly did Robben Ford mean musically when this is supposed to be a tribute to BB - I wouldn't have noticed just by hearing.

  • Hi

I agree, the link to this and BB is a little tenuous! My theory is that he constructed the melody line from a very typical BB lick (the first 4 notes of the melody) but I've been wrong before (once or twice ;-)

    Cheers :-)

  • great playing! but it's a bit too much drive

  • LOL Thanks for the compliment, as far as the amount of drive, opinion always vary. I just try and be myself and never worry too much about copying anyone else's tone. Take care.

  • it's very difficult to play straight lines on a 52 telecaster. You do a very nice job!

  • Thanks :-)

  • Nice, I admire feeling more in a guitarist more than shred. Have you thought about teaching for the guitar magazine? They would love this!

  • Lol, if they ask me I'll consider it ;-)

    Thanks

  • I concur with BB- nice playing, and nice tone!

  • Thanks Johnny :-)

  • Nice playing!

PHHHAAAT sound! I've got a 52 tele reissue - is that a Bassman behind you? Any stompboxes?

  • Thanks! That's a Blues Deluxe RI, and I'm using an Ibanez TK999 Tube King :-)

  • I'm going to have to do some more research... I always thought the TS808 was the holy grail...after listening to you, it's obvious the can of worms has been only half opened..!
