@mar234mar1 Search for Graupner Moonraker (Order no. 2188). The most shops I found in Europe of course, because Graupner is a German company. I heard, that you maybe might find it in Hobby-Lobby in the U.S.
You are right, it seems hard to buy one at the moment. But I am sure there are some shops having it still in stock. Best is just to go throught the various offerings in the web and contact possible vendors by mail. Sometimes they have a box 'laying' around somewhere. I do believe that Graupner has not stopped production for good but this is also hard to tell.
Meu iate não está à venda, infelizmente. Mas é um kit da Graupner. Você pode encomendá-lo na Internet, em diversos fornecedores. Mas é algo caro e leva tempo para construí-la. Portanto, faz um monte de diversão.
So its only one type of dark color that are used on the model? (under the hull, around windows, stripes on hull etc.l ) Nice to know :-) have been thinking of maybe 2 7,2Volts NiMH bat. in series for each jetdrive. I see you have rotating radars! NICE!! One micromotor with gear one each radar I guess? :-) I planned to have one speed reg. on each motor, this gives me the opportunitie to drive the jets seperatly from each other, and give me better maneuver. How did u couple on your model?
@johnelling1 Your guesses are correct: one grey color only and radar with micromotors and gear from ROBBE. Actually I use one speed controller for the outer jets and one for the booster, equally with the three LiPo accus. There is absolutelly no need to increase maneuverability as water jets are very agil anyway. So you might save the money for a third controller.
Oh yes, if you need any decoration figures on your Moonraker, just visit my shop you find by searching 'crew-aboard' in the internet.
@RetoFor Acually i ment one speed reg for the outer motors, and one for the booster. I have allready checked out your web-shop! Very good! :-) Thanx for good advices!
@RetoFor Actually I ment one speed reg. for the outer motors, and one for center. I`ll have a look at your web-site! Thanx for very good advices!! :-)
NICE MODEL!! :-) I am almost finish building my own. A few questions: What is the name of black/ dark grey color on your model?I have trouble finding the right color. What kind of battery installation do you use? ( voltage / bat.type )
The color is called 'anthracite' and it's from RUCOLAC. The color code is RAL7016. The batteries I use for the jet drives are from Graupner LiPo 4800; 14,8 V; 4.8 Ah; product code is 7660.4. I use for each motor one of those what make 3 accu's. In addition there are the other accu's for the bow thruster and for the lights, radar's etc. But there you might use whatever is handy to you.
Thanks for the suggestion. There is not really the need for a water cooling as the power with the existing motors and some LiPo accus is pretty fair. In the vid the speed is far beyond max speed as of the pool limitations. The max speed is about 25 to 30 km/h when in glide cruise. More would be above scale speed and I would not trust the hull to resist more than that.
There are nice fotos from the wave picture when checking our webpage from ASK (see askweb.ch). Have fun!
I bought mine in a shop in Switzerland but I recognize that Hobby Direct in Germany always has good prices and I could rely on them so far. Mine is fairly equpped with additional features like turning radar antennas, remote controlled trim flaps, sound, etc. At the end I spent more than CHF 4000 for all and it took me nearly 2 years to finish it (but I have no clue how many hours I spent!).
It is a model kit from Graupner/JR (you might check the webpage from Graupner in Germany). The easiest is to check with a local modeler shop or search the Internet. As a matter of fact it is not really a beginner model so depending on your experience it is always the other possibility to check in internet auction platforms for a model.
My favorite rc boat model.
