It doesn't hurt the cat at all and it keep him in better health. Stop saying this is cruel or whatever... He will get used to it with time. Animal are very adaptive.
Just more proof that the women needs to get back in the kitchen and make a sammich. Im sure her cat would appreciate that more that brushing it's teeth with a giant, clumsy and untrained finger.
Those finger toothbrushes are too big to adequately brush the side and back teeth; so are the so-called "cat toothbrushes." I use a tiny brush called an "End Tufted Brush" (it's actually made for human crowns and bridges). I simply trim the bristles down so they're not as long.
Well Dr. Adrienne "K" Mulligan of Camp Verde Clinic. For our animals well being, perhaps you could exercise self moderation & remove this poor movie as there are much much better ones available with more information. It'd be a damn shame if someone watched this one and thought that this was all the others showed too & missed out on a wealth of additional information. I assume you're an OK Vet but your not good at making movie clips. Do the animal kingdom a favor and give up on YouTube.
No, fluoride is poisonous (to people and cats). Even people have to spit out toothpaste so it doesn't make them sick. That amount of fluoride to a cat (who can't spit it out) is bad news. Pet toothpaste isn't expensive. Only about $5 at the pet store

I have two cats and I've never brushed their teeth once. They're 15 and 16. They have all of their teeth. Why bother?

If I used that little toothbrush that goes on your finger, I wouldn't have a finger when I was done.

Can you use human toothpaste ?
crazywanch101 2 years ago
No, it has too much fluroide for them. It also foams up a lot, which cats don't tend to enjoy, lol.

no, the detergent in human toothpaste can upset a cat's digestive system. you gotta use special cat and dog tooth polish.
