  • Thats a great rig you have there I will be getting an ic-718 after christmas. But the things I like about the 1980's and 90's rigs is the frequency display the displays on these older rigs are great. I also have a question for you what should I buy after the rig I am already set with antennas I was thinking the heil classic.

  • I got a 718 for christmas. I love it. But I also agree with you on the displays. I would like to see that type on my 718

  • Hi Jason, really amazing earing our signal from New Zealand. It is incredible to ear such great signals from EU on 40. Really a quite band compared with the heavy QRM on this side...HI. Our 3 elem full size @ 25 meter does a great job.

    Many thanks to share it.

  • Hi There,

Do a search on the net for a local ham radio club in your area, i'm sure they will have a local contact person, go to a meeting etc...,also have a look at the "ARRL" website ,and look for info there.

Ham radio is a great hobbie so much to do,

all the best from Jason in New Zealand.
