The central metaphor of God as an underachiever is not developed at all. Indeed, such an indictment might, for example, be rendered ironic as a consolation to other underachievers. God underachievement's, all of the evil and tragedy in this world, considering His omnipotence after all, might be listed. We might be called upon to try not to put pleasure on God when we pray, because God is clearly feeling so insecure! And so on...
The video suffers on the one hand from overstatement and on the other from lack of confidence and conviction not to mention imagination. The opening monologue is superfluous, and the images clichéd and heavy-handed.
OK CHRISTIANS - learn your history. THE BIBLE IS BASED ON THE RELIGIONS OF EGYPT!!! The Egyption religions had their foundations in SUN worship. GOD is energy. The energy that connects all living things. You impact God with how you use your energy. Do you really want to use it negatively attacking others who have a different view than you? Follow Jesus' example and reach out to others in love and let GOD be the judge.
Monique, I'm not an atheist, but lately I've been seriously questioning God RE: why He/She doesn't step up more during this massive crisis, & soften the hearts of the evil & greedy ppl in the world. So I totally relate to this video's message. I know it's also up to us to do our part to help, but I think this video is evidence of a very spiritual person who cares deeply about the situation of injustice in this world. Awesome job, Joey! This is a great way to wake ppl up! Rock on, brother!

Very beautiful song and intense video.
Since I believe that we all are and live in something that I call 'ALL' - you call that 'God'- I agree with you...'God' is an underachiever.
Because we all are 'God' and we all could and should make a chance.
I never go to church...but I do believe in the creating and loving energy that flows through us all and that connects everyone and everything.
Taking good care of each other is taking good care of yourself.
