Fetal Development Week 28 (Pregnancy Health Guru)

at my 28 week appt, i was told baby weighed 2.25 pounds..which according to this video is spot on average.... but they want me to go in 2 weeks for another growth ultrasound, which has me concerned. She said 2.25 pounds is in the 12th percentile.

she really said 6th month ...28 weeks is the last week of your 7th month (im goin by the 10 month pregnancy) but she didnt mention a baby like mine ...TRANSVERSE ! lol . he wont move from this sideways position , hopefully he will turn and i wont need a csection :)

@celticonduct7 no, he turned enough for his head to be down but his body was still a lil sideways but no i had a unbelievable vaginal delivery lol barely made it to the hospital as soon as i was arrived they said he was right there....no time for an epi & three pushes lol. but hopefully youre bby will turn *GOOD LUCK*

@itsmeluvele: I don't know if this is always the case, but someone told me that they try to turn baby around during the procedure before taken him out through the incision.

ok i am 28 weeks. 29 weeks on Thursday. NOW explain to me how my baby weighs almost 4 pounds when they say it should be about 2 pounds?

yeah,..im like 6 months...no 7...to me pregnancy is practically 10 months long. Does she mean month 1 is strarting at 4 weeks?

isnt 7months the begining of the third trimester and its equivalent to 28weeks, since 28weeks is also considered the begining of the third trimester? then why is it 6months and not 7months? it cant be 6months because its still the second and not the third and the third is 7months. and 28weeks is the third trimester so to say its 6months must be off and miscalculated by a long shot. maybe we should forget the month thing if it gonna cause so much confusion!!!! ...am i communicating????

@IMthere4you1 a pregnancy lasts 40 weeks. so if you count four weeks in a month, then a pregnancy is really TEN months not nine which means you would still have three months left. one month technically has a little OVER 4 weeks (like 4.3 weeks something like that), not exactly 4 weeks. So 27 weeks is really 6 months. do you kind of understand? the third trimester starts at the beginning of the 28th week if im not mistaken. i would suggest GOOGLE-ing it! :))

Yay!! By this time in three months, my little boy will be approximately a week old!!

I'm looking forward to my 32 week ultrasound!!

Its confusing but I think once you reach 28 weeks its the ending of 6 months and 29 weeks is 7 months not sure but makes since to me.

a month is almost always more than only 4 weeks - february being an exception. Im 28 weeks pregnant - 6.5 months. You are pregnant for 9 months and one week from the first day of your last period.

Whoa hold on... The previous videos for week 27 mentionned the baby being 14 inches and a half or about the size of a coliflower head. And as for week 26, it's clearly mentionned 14 inches TO RUMP.

So now, week 28, 14.8 Inches to heels and 10 inches to rump? Repost or at least Erratum?

28 weeks isn't necessarily 7 months. if you equate that math then a pregnancy would be only 36 weeks instead of 40. a 'month' is a varying amount of days whereas weeks are exact. thus, they more than likely average the "month" count out as something other than 4 weeks.

@LeavesOntheWind WOMEN ARE TECHNICALLY PREGO FOR 10 MONTHS ALMOST BECAUSE 37 WEEKS IS THE 9TH MONTH MARK...THATS WHY THEY TELL WOMEN THAT WHEN A BABY IS BORN AT 37 WEEKS THE BABY IS FULL TERM....SO 28 WEEKS IS CONSIDERED THE BEGINING OF THE 7TH MONTH...

The baby wasn't breech, but if you look closely, you can see that it's placenta previa, and those have to be delivered through c-section.
