thats so weird that its the same etude for georgia 11/12 band and kentucky (idk wat grade)...

interesting cuz i've lived in both states. i tried sightreading this as practice on my clarinet, and got raped cuz i can't single tongue fast enough =(

how do you know whether your flute has a leak or not?

The surest way is to send to a technician to check. Then if u have the money, to reshim the pads or change the pads.

I don't think I'd ever come away from that piece humming it in my head; designed for an exercise which imho is not the same as a lovely piece of music. For a moment there it sounded like Telemann mixed with Philip Glass.

Metronomes cannot teach anything except robotic playing. You need to internalize the beat. Better to play along with recordings. Indian and African musicians got along without metronomes for Centuries...how'd that happen? And they have the most sophisticated rhythm in the world.
